Bama D is not that great. Lb's are small and d line minus 92 is nothing special. Db's are good but young. Can see why Q is only selection

Not a single interior lineman from A&M in either team, offense or defense. This seems like a miscarriage, given that A&M both ran and defended the run better than maybe any other team in the league.

Yeah, that's pretty bad. Not sure how you can be the second guy in NCAA history to average over 50 yards per punt over an entire season and breaking that all-time record that has stood for over 20 years and not be a unanimous selection for your own conference. He averages 6 yards more per punt than anyone else in the conference. I mean there's only a couple of statistical metrics to evaluate a punter. Shouldn't be tough to determine Mann was far and away the best punter in the league. And I know this phrase is almost always misused, but "it's not even close."
