Smith had a very poor opinion of Notre Dame playing for the tie against them in 1966.
Weird how they finished with identical records, tied when they played, and yet Notre Dame got the national title that year.

I have more issues with the second team than the first. Devonta Smith one of the 4 best WRs in the past 100 years? I just don't know. He felt more like the most important part of a well oiled offensive machine than he did a guy able to carry a team by himself. He wouldn't have even won the Heisman had Waddle not gotten hurt.
Eric Berry should be on the second team.
That really douchey Alabama offensive lineman who played different positions and won a bajillion awards (can't remember his name) probably deserves it. He didn't do much in the NFL, but thats not what this list is about.

So did MSU.

Tebow is the goat college qb and its not particularly close.

Notre Dame was awarded the AP and the Coaches.

And Michigan State was awarded the NFF.

The frick? Woodson was one of the best all around football players I've watched play, but he's nowhere even close to top 11 offensive players of all time

I thought only the AP, Coaches/UPI, BCS and Playoff titles counted.
Here I am trying to count the way you guys do and still can’t make you frickers happy.

I feel like you have to have Reggie Bush on there somewhere. Maybe not as a RB, but as an All-Purpose or return specialist for sure.

Ohio State claims 1970 based on the NFF, Mr 1941.

At first I read your post as Reggie Fish.
Tim Brown was their All Purpose pick for 2nd team offense.

2nd team CB?!?
You know, I'm a huge Honey Badger fan and I kind of agree with you here.
His 2011 season was an all-timer. No question. But, he wasn't the best cornerback on that team: Morris Claiborne won the 2011 Thorpe Award.
Mathieu was more of a nickel-back chaos agent that feasted on spread offenses. In the two games against the more traditional offense Bama was running, his defensive prowess was subdued (and outright exploited in the NCG).
Much of his magic was in the return game, where he completely turned around the Arkansas and Georgia games.
We also can't ignore he was kicked off the team in 2012 preseason.
Mathieu is a great Tiger, and the way he has turned his life around after that suspension is a model for young men everywhere.
But, I'm not giving him second team on this list.
GEAUX TIGERS!

At center, I would have put Dave Remington on the first team and Chuck Bednarik on the second team.
Anyone who watched him knows: Remington defines what a center should be. He was so dominant, he won the Outland Trophy twice, the only person to do so. The annual award given to centers is named after him.
For him not to be first team is a huge mistake.

Barrett Jones, the guy that shoved AJ while blowing out ND. He was probably the most decorated Bama player ever

thinking the same thing the award is named after him

Apart from the egregious omission of both Reggie and Eric Berry:
Cam in 2010 is the single most dominant QB in the history of televised college football. I do not give a frick what Tebow did on a loaded Gators squad

Nay, if you think so, you should watch Tommy Frazier's Nebraska highlights from 1995.

Those Nebraska squads had all Americans all over the field.
What Cam did with that 2010 Auburn squad will never be replicated.

Umm, no, they didn't.
1995 Nebraska had 2 offensive players on the AA list, Tommy and center Graham.
2010 AU had 3 offensive players on the AA list: Cam, OT Ziemba, and center Pugh.
Nebraska had a lot on defense that year.
