If only there was a board for recruits.
Starters in 2012 is not related to recruiting.
P.S. Landon Collins has given a verbal commitment.
U mad?

Is Bama's secondary that depleted after this season?
Yes but only at CB. There's plenty of depth at safety. All of the safeties return next year except for Barron.

it takes a year just to make a corner that's halfway decent, you don't want to start a true freshmen corner no matter the coach or player's talent.

Saban likes to put Freshmen DB's in to blitz. They don't need to know complex coverages if they're just in to chase the passer.
Collins could start, but he'd have to prove himself as athletic and aggressive as Laron Landry was as a freshman.

Well, we'll see how much of Saban's complex D he can pick up in a few weeks.

Lester will be back as I understand it.

Saban doesn't fear freshmen safeties. Laron Landry led the 2003 Tigers in tackles.

He doesn't fear freshman. Milliner started as a freshman. There is just lots of depth at Safety.

Out of necessity. Did LSU have anyone else worth a shite to start over Landry ?

he'll be starting for LSU next year

Rolondo McClain started at LB and called the defense as a freshman. Obviously, not a DB, but proof that a freshman can handle Saban's defense.
That being said, I don't see this kid starting. Playing a lot, sure, but not starting unless he is a badass mofo.

Collins biggest obstacle will be off the field, or his "i"/"me" attitude.
Saban doesn't go much for the attention whoring.
The kid will definitely play on Sundays if he remains injury free, but LSU as a team is probably better off without him.
And, that's not sour grapes. I posted this prior to his announcement, based on his handling of his recruitment.

Wow, he spurns your school, and now he has an attitude problem. Get over yourself.

I know this is a huge assumption, but can you fricking read?
I just fricking said I stated this on this site prior to his decision. I didn't know which school he was going to say. IMO, he's an unanswered prayer.
