The transfer and play immediately rule is only 2 years old.

Do you think players just now started transferring out because of that or something? The only difference is they no longer spend 1 year at a JUCO.

Again, in the past you guys just called it over signing and bitched about that. Same shite, different narrative. All those transfers is why Alabama was able to sign 28 so far.

Alabama wasn’t leaking top 100 players in the past like they are now.

5 years ago Drew Sanders would’ve played backup duty until his senior year when he finally became the starter. Now he can transfer immediately and make it to the NFL faster

He can play a number of positions but we are recruiting him at Jack. On3 has his NIL value listed at $311k. Tell the REC to get on it. I'd hate for one to slip through the cracks.

Those are the 2 leading sources on college football recruiting.
Listing the same 2 "consensus" ranking that incorporates 2 dead recruiting services.

Very funny that you thought this proved your point.

Didn’t Bama lose like 13 to the portal this year and last? They need these players or it could be bad for Saban next year

Ahem

Clears throat

Since 2018 Alabama has signed 100 recruits from 18-21.

42 have transferred out

In that same timespan lsu has signed only 85.

In terms of overall talent, Alabama has way more top 100 players now than it did in the past. So obviously you are going to be losing a higher amount of them. You'll see just as many of them still on the team as before, and you'll also see that even better recruits are replacing them than it would have been years ago.

Guess what, since we recruited so many top100 this year, we're going to have more than previous "top100s" in the past in the next year or 2.

Drew Sanders was a starter/contributor. He left because of the role he was being asked to do, not because of playing time(I don't blame him at all, it was dumb). If you are going to give a specific example, at least know what the frick you are talking about.

The true expectations for a 5 star is 3 years. At that point, they'll have either been passed up and left, or they'll be heading for the draft. If you were going to name a position in which a 5 star might wait that many years, you should have named a lineman position.

Off the top of my head Rashaan Evans and Reuben Foster stayed 4 years.

In today’s game they both transfer out after year 1 or 2.

Najee Harris likely would’ve transferred too. He rode the pine for the better part of 3 years before taking over as a senior. He could’ve been in the league sooner.

Does Mac Jones stay 3 years behind Hurts and Tua? Does D’ashawn Hand stick around for 4 years? How about Reggie Ragland? What about Jalen Hurts staying in 2018 until he graduated?

Now the odds are they transfer.

Are you claiming they didn't play before then?

Reuben was playing as a true freshman, especially on special teams. He started his Jr year.

He returned his senior year to improve his draft stock. He went in the 1st round. Obviously if he had been projected to go in the 1st round his Jr year he would declared.

Same thing with Evans. He also played a lot as a true freshman on special teams. He played special teams and some backup his sophomore. He played as a starter his Jr year, and then returned his Sr year to improve his draft stock, and was drafted in the 1st round.

Again, why the frick are you giving specific examples and being so wrong? You named the damn examples, you can't look before talking out your arse?

I'm not looking up every player you name from this point on. It's obvious from your previous examples you don't have a fricking clue what the hell you are talking about. You're just throwing names out there in the hopes nobody actually looks into it.

If you want to make an actual argument for these people, have at it. As best I can tell, you're about as intelligent as Irons Puppet.

I had no issue with what a&m did last year. I just find it amusing they bragged about it until it became an issue and next pretended it didn't happen.

The most entertaining part was the actual outcome on the field and in the portal this year.

Interesting for a fan base to another a name even though their fan base and coach was trying to do the same thing and got beat at the game.
