All of them cheaters. Makes sense.

So they drop from the 20th best win percentage to 24th? Not really a big drop. Also surprised Miami Ohio is top thirty in win percentage. Didn’t see that coming

Running the math without Dabo, their win percentage drops to .569, which would be 46th nationally all time. And I must have botched the math earlier. That puts them more on par with teams like Troy, Southern Miss, and San Diego State all time.
But yeah, the whole point is that even with the dominant Dabo run, it wasn’t enough to make them more than an above average program historically.
Without Dabo, they’re not even that.

Honestly, if he doesn’t change his attitude about the portal he needs to go.
I really, really dislike how easily players transfer, putting the “you gave to sit a year” rule back in would help immensely.
If it stays the way it currently is you simply have to use it, or it will bury you if you want to be elite.
If you’re fine with bringing Iowa, keep him.

I think Clemson must have brought in a contract consulting firm from Texas A&M because if he makes it to 2027 then the remaining 5 years become fully guaranteed.
Will be interesting to see if he face plants 2026 what they do.

In Clemson’s defense, they invested more money in the football program at the height of their success than just about any other school.
I think Dabo was the second highest paid coach behind Saban at one time. Probably still in the top five. The staff with guys like Venables made bank. They poured a lot into facilities.
All that stuff is a hell of a lot more important to winning today than who won the national championship in 1974. Being a blue blood ain’t worth a shite without money.
Now I don’t know what Clemson is dishing out in the NIL game today, but the peak 2010s success was as much Clemson’s $$$ as Dabo’s coaching.
Let’s also remember that Clemson hired Dabo at a time when no other major program would have done so. If he had been flushed out with Tommy Bowden, I don’t think he would have two natties snd a nine figure contract either.
In my opinion, Clemson doesn’t “owe” Dabo shite (other than his buyout) if they consider firing him sometime in the next year or two if the mediocrity continues.

This means they spent a shite ton on coordinators. More than they could afford. Now, they're as fricked as Auburn. Fricked as much as an "Auburn on a lake" as anyone could be.
You hate to see it.

569, which would be 46th nationally all time
.587 without Dabo 36th nationally

Damn bear Bryant, Bobby Bowden, dabo, ford all former bama players with natty titles. Makes you wonder if one of sabans(seeing as how he’s the goat) players will possibly win a natty in the future.

You're counting Bobby Bowden who went to Tuscaloosa for one semester in his freshman year before transferring to and graduating from Howard(Samford)?

He grew up a bama fan, his dream was to play at bama then coach there, but the bastard was desperate to put a ring on mrs Bowden finger. Different time back then. Couldnt always test drive the car before you bought it if you know what I mean.

Feel free to check my math.
Dabo is 187-53 all time.
Clemson’s all-time record, including Dabo’s tenure) is 815-482-45 (.624)
Western Kentucky (.589)
Miami-OH (.595)
Fresno State (.589)
Truthfully, I may have been being a little too generous. They may be worse than those 3 all time without Dabo.
Without Dabo, Clemson is 612-425-44 (.587). So, you were off by 0.2% in your comparison with WKU.

Removing Dabo’s tenure, they’re 628-429-45 (.569).
So yes, 46th nationally without Dabo.
