But you get the chance to take over Disney world with your fellow Bama fans and the line beards for week 1. Enjoy.

I can be mad at the current way the conference schedules games.

If they aren't going to add another conference game, they should scrap divisions, give every team 3 permanent opponents, and play the other 10 teams home and away over a four year period. The two conferences that haven't missed the playoffs are the two that only play eight conference games, so I don't see them adding a ninth.

I don't mind it. I was seriously considering giving up on Tide Pride and losing my season tickets until they added the Texas and Notre Dame games etc. It sucks this year but it isn't always this bad. I will go to most of them and give the other ones to family/friends that want to go.

There are multiple reasons this game is going to continue to happen. There are probably more A&M fans and Arkansas fans in Dallas than there are in Fayetteville and college station. its close to halfway between the 2. Also the guy that owns that stadium in Arlington went to Arkansas and he kinda has a lot of money and a huge ego that he backs up at a surprisingly high rate.

State plays Arkansas in Starkville, you all have UM at home. So you'll only have one ranked team coming to your place.

State's SEC slate is not horrible but the rest is.

At least the early ones are 6 pm starts and not middle of the day in September.

I’ll be there. I’ll buy you a beer at Egan’s on Friday night.

I think you’ll be surprised at the Mizzou crowd, which I expect to be significant. We don’t get to come to Tuscaloosa very often. Our allotment is nearly gone.

Ours isn't too bad:

-Coastal Carolina
-Georgia
-Marshall
-Missouri
-Texas A&M
-Tennessee
-Chattanooga

The SEC home slate is pretty entertaining. Out of conference home games are a joke.

I agree with you that 14 teams/8 games has given us probably the WORST format for that combination (honestly I don't know what you can do WITH that setup). &, not to get into it, but there are several posts about scheduling/# teams on here.
Personally, I don't understand how the SEC did NOT think about this & devise a formula when they knew 2 more teams were joining the conference.

Despite all that, doesn't negate the fact of the order of our opponents wasn't the school's doings. If it were, UGA/Aub. would NOT have played 2012 & 2013 in Aub..

I’m not currently attending an Alabama home game for the first time in years. I will only attend games at Ole Miss and Arkansas. Thinking about Tennessee.

Arkansas has to have the worst schedule in 2018 and 2019.. hell in 2019 I think we only have 2 home SEC games thanks to a game in Dallas and a game in the high school stadium dump that Little Rock has. I feel sorry for any fan spending thousands for season tickets.

Meh. Don't care about the schedule. Just win the games that are on it. Auburn and Tenn are a little different.

Notre dame doesn't have to come into town to get me excited to watch football. I can watch us play Mercer and have as much fun. Maybe more. The stress isnt there. Only ones I get up for are Tennessee and auburn anyway. The rest are just games.

You’d be surprised. Mizzou brought a decent amount to Baton Rouge in 2016. Their fans want to experience BDS so they’ll bring a good bit. They aren’t wild or anything though. Very conservative IMO. Ours is legit this year. We get bama, ole miss, state and uga. Pretty solid if you ask me.

Could you explain to me why exactly y’all still do the LR games? Especially for SEC games?

I’m very happy with ours this year. But, cupcake games piss me off. I really wish the SEC would pass a by-law banning the scheduling of FCS programs.
