admit it........

quote:

The use of satire in literature refers to the practice of making fun of a human weakness or character flaw. It is often inclusive of a need or decision of correcting or bettering the character that is on the receiving end of the satire. In general, even though satire might be humorous and may “make fun”, its purpose is not to entertain and amuse but actually to derive a reaction of contempt from the reader.

you copied and pasted this shite.

It's already been proven (and admitted) that he copied and pasted the definition.

Is this legit? Hard to believe because if it is true, this kid is extremely naïve. Does he really
think a college coach would contact him to discuss
football because they have a common interest?

How is this thread not up to twenty pages yet? Every time I get bored, another rube outs himself.

I hope, genuinely, for these peoples' sakes that they have not read the entire thread.

You naysayers know Lufkin won the Texas HS state championship, right? Colby Spear is the real deal, and Saban is absolutely right to go gay on him.

In all fairness (at least it would be fair if it weren't obvious the guy had no idea it was satire,) The Onion does have a track record of using real people in their articles involving public figures. It would be entirely in character for them to use the name of a real heavily-recruited prospect in an article like that. They just happened to choose not to in this case.

Yesterday was the first time I brought a bunch of people at work to my desk to read through a thread together. We had a blast.

Steubenville rapists released for football games.
