There are a lot of ProAms and various other leagues going on right now around the conference where SEC players are involved.

How are your off season leagues and players looking?

Kentucky is clearly the early season favorite to take the conference title with Florida a close second thanks to the transfer.

Auburn is going to be good.

Who else will challenge?

Frank Martin has publicly stated this will be his most talented team he's ever had. This kid Jermaine Couisnard out of Florida is just lighting it up this summer in the ProAm league. He had to sit out last year but he'll join Lawson and Bryant and Minaya and others this coming season.

It's looking like SC might be pretty good.

Tennessee will still be good right? Who should we look for this season from the Vols?

LSU returns some players, they should be pretty good.

Georgia's coach is pretty impressive and he's going to field a good team.

MSU? Mizzou? Arkansas? A&M?

Should we expect much from Bama, Ole Miss or Vandy?

The league is going to very deep and very competitive this coming season.

Mizzou is looking pretty good right now, IMO. I think we'll certainly make the dance and might even make a decent run.

If Smart has the kind of year I think he can have, we could challenge for the conference title. I am worried about our lack of bugs though. I think if we get Dante we jump up to the #1 or #2 favorite.

Anyone else noticing a trend in the league appearing to get away from two or three bigs while moving toward a smaller, faster, offense that's simply done to outgun bigger teams, outscore them, and wear down the big guys forcing them to run the court?

Seems like a lot of programs around thr country are recruiting to this new type of roster loaded with 6-4 to 6-8 guys who can run and shoot.

Having Reggie Perry back is huge. He'll be a 1st round pick in 2020. We are also getting Nick Weatherspoon back which was a huge question. I like our other returnees. And outside of Q, this team is much better than last year. I think State does better and beats Oklahoma in the Big 12 challenge

Yea that’s a trend, but we don’t have any bigs right now. I mean Watford is big but he’s a forward. We don’t have a single center on our roster that is ready for SEC play. I think one of our redshirts last year was a center but I’m not sure if he is ready.

State should be pretty good again and return 3 starters in Abdul Ado, Tyson Carter and Reggie Perry who led the USA 19-U team this summer. Robert Woodard will make a big jump from fr to soph and Nick Weatherspoon is back after missing the end of the season due to suspension. Prince Oduro should give immediate help after transferring and sitting out last year.

I think we can win 20-24 games and get in the big dance.

We are going to have to see how the new coach does at Arkansas. Mike Anderson is a wonderful human being but his in game coaching ability is a bit suspect. So we don't know what we have coming back.

We could finish anywhere from the top 3 in the conference to 12th.

I would think LSU fans should be enamored with a lack of bugs?

Had to do it.

I think we are going to have a talented team, but also very young. The transfer definitely helped, but I was really impressed with how our team gelled towards the end of the year, so chemistry will be important. (As is will for everyone I am sure)

Idk what to make of Auburn this year.

Returning a lot of seniors from a Final Four team *should* be a good thing, but we still lost 4 starters. McCormick should do well running point, and McClemore seems to be progressing/recovering well, but Purifoy and Daughtey are feast-or-famine and Wiley's always hurt.
