Yeah but Garland had the grades.

Gotcha

I just feel like it’s not that big of a deal as some may make

And Drew gave Vandy some high ranked recruiting classes. He just couldn’t win

Seems to me that Barnes will have a good team. He has plenty of talent returning. Hell, I've seen speculations that he has four draft picks returning, maybe five.

2 NBA players on the roster max. This frontcourt is horrid, probably the worst in 20 years at Tennessee. Backcourt will be pretty good but if they are a good team I will be shocked. Mediocre at best.

I have no idea how you can be this bad in the frontcourt in year 5 when you’ve only lost one significant player to early entry/transfer over the 5 years.

Don’t think Auburn is the clear cut 3rd best team at all.

Having 5 draft picks on a team is elite. Particularly after just having 3 drafted.

I don’t think they have 5 draft picks

Only one most likely this year

Are we going to have to sweep Tennessee for a 3rd straight year

You won’t be the only one sweeping sleepy Rick this year. He will be on the hot seat by year’s end in all likelihood. Not sure what that has to do with what I said about Auburn.

This site says Vols are loaded with 2020 draft picks .... five.

LINK: 2020 Vols Mock Draft

James, Bowden, Bone .... I think maybe they included, or assumed, Blackshear was going to be a Vol when they posted that piece and the other one is a foreign named big man whose name will not stick in my head.

In a way too early big board from si.com, one Vol is listed to go in the first round of the 2020 NBA Draft.

I only see one.

And of the 3 you listed
Bone was taken in the second round of this draft.
The other two they said “could”-Blackshear (who’s at Florida) and Bowden
At most 2. Will be 1 probably

Very interesting set of new coaches.

Very interested in watching oats, musselman and of course buzz williams.

Jerry Stackhouse doesn't do anything for me.

I agree, but the possibility is very good I think. Purifory showed flashes of what he could be in the tournament. If one or two of the newcomers is really good I could see us having a great team. I love Bruce.

It's funny that you didn't even mention the non-UK league favorite

I think UGA is being overvalued. If Claxton would have came back then yeah I think they would have been pretty good but I know from the Colin Sexton year that 1 superstar on a team doesn’t work out great.

And you're correct.

UGA is going to suck butts this season Edwards or no Edwards because their frontcourt is the worst in the conference by far.

IMO your best player will be the kid from NJ

Not the transfer

Both are very good.

Lewis has more NBA potential of course but Blackshear is going to be our best big since Pat Young almost by default.

Tennessee will still be good right? Who should we look for this season from the Vols?

Vols lost a lot of talent and have a pretty tough schedule. OOC opponents:

Washington (James Naismith Classic - Toronto)
Florida State (Emerald Coast Classic - Destin, FL)
Purdue or VCU (Emerald Coast Classic - Destin, FL)
Memphis
@ Cincinnati
Wisconsin
@ Kansas SEC/Big 12 Challenge

LSU will be a top 4 team in the league. Smart, Mays, Taylor, Williams, and Days return from our top 8 rotational starters/subs from last year. James Bishop is a FR Guard with talent & skills that will surprise lots of people this year. Watford will be a suitable replacement for Naz. The only missing piece from last year is a rim protector. Talent, Depth, and coaching are all there.
