If Alabama beats LSU in a rematch I am all in favor of a split national championship.

THIS is the core issue with a rematch. A split is the BEST it can deliver for the Gumps. LSU vs. any other 1 loss delivers a clear champion no matter who wins !

No, it isn't.

No, it isn't.

EDIT: You just made one hell of a Freudian slip. A split championship is the BEST that can come from a rematch? So mentally, you have conceded a loss to Bama?

Well, I presume that if you shite the bed against LSU at home, you don't stand a chance against LSU anywhere else.

Next team please.

i agree with him. You shouldn't get a pass just because you're in the SEC. OSU has a stronger schedule and better wins. They also haven't had a shot at LSU. Stanford, well we can apply all Bama logic to that one and add in the fact that they haven't got their shot at LSU. Face it: Every thing the guy said is accurate. And only Bama fans are rippng him a new one in the email repsonses. Seems Bama must beg harder.

Hardly anything he said was true. Boise deserves to be in NCG??

Pussy New England sportswriters like Reilly, King, Simmons & others know nothing about college football except that they hate the fact their school in NY or Mass isn't as good as SEC schools. He wasn't bashing Alabama in the column; he was bashing the SEC as a whole & all you drooling 9-6 Rantards are lapping it up like it's your last Natural Light in the box.

We simply tee-tee'd a little bit in the bed. Losing to a team you were favored to beat by 27 points is shitting the bed.

What facts have been presented that Bama is the #2 team in the nation? To be fair another team should be given a shot at beating the #1 team in the nation. Not scared of playing Bama again but the system is screwed up. LSU has already proven that they are better than Bama. We have not proven we are better than OSU.

I love how the media darlings are getting all pissy and scared now that the media is beginning to turn against them.

It's pretty funny how Bama fans went from total confidence to "WTF?"

It's like watching a girl who's been betrayed by her lover.

If there's not a rematch it's a travesty. Bama/LSU r clearly the two best teams and most deserving. I dont understand how anyone makes an argument for OSU think about it. Bama lost to the number 1 team in the nation. OSU lost to Iowa fricking state. End of debate IMO.

He'll even Oregon is more deserving than OSU

Fact: our single loss was to the #1 team in the country and was a 3 pt loss in overtime.

Fact: the #3 team's loss was to an unranked team

Well, you wet the bed and now you have to sleep in piss covered sheets. It sucks, but it is part of life.

It just so happens they were wearing a diaper at the time and quickly changed underwear after it happened.

Don't ask me what any of that means because I am just trollin' and I don't even know what it means.

You just haven't been paying attention.

I know that I've said and read NUMEROUS times that there will be a large anti-SEC/anti-rematch bloc when it comes to the human polls. Nobody has denied that, nor said the human polls are in the bag. The only question is will it be enough to close the gap on Sunday.

I love how people get all worked up over this, when it's highley likely that OU will beat the pokes in Bedlam. They've won 8 in a row and as an Oklahoma resident let me tell you the Sooners are extremely confident they'll make it 9, Weedon/Blackmon be damned.

My response to this article...

That was the worst article I have ever read. You say that Alabama shouldn't play because "Every game counts", so why doesn't the Ok st-Iowa st game "count"? Any of the 1-loss teams would be getting a "mulligan" by your standards. And don't even go there with the plane crash being a cause of Ok st losing. It was a sad and terrible incident, but get real. Those football players had probably barely known the women's basketball coaches, or maybe even didn't know them at all. You conveniently throw out the quality of loss of the one loss teams, while only paying attention to the quality of wins. Alabama's loss was to the number 1 team in overtime in a dead even game. All that game proved was that Alabama and LSU are very even teams. That is why there needs to be a rematch. Not a game against a team that lost to Iowa State, or got killed by Oregon, or lost to TCU and has played only 2 real teams all year.

Maybe you should go cover arena football if all you care about is teams that score a lot of points. Football games are won with defense.

I can't believe you are getting paid to write this garbage. Clearly you don't know anything about football.
