Gideon was bad at costing Texas a trip to the National championship game in 08' IIRC. Wasn't he the one who dropped the easy INT vs Tx Tech maybe? IMO Texas should have made it to the title game vs Florida anyways because they beat OU head to head. Of course, they would make it the next year, only for McCoy to be knocked out early.

Yea i remember the drop now. Tough stuff

Speaking of 08s title game, imagine if we had the playoffs back then. The top-4 BCS teams came from 2 conferences. 12-1 OU and Florida as conference champs are in. Then you have 11-1 Texas who didnt play on championship weekend, 11-1 USC when the PAC-10 had no conference championship, 12-1 Bama who was the last undefeated Power 5 team, and an undefeated Utah out of the Mountain West. No idea who theyd put in

I’m curious to see what happens to Niedermeyer. He’s one of the best recruiters in the game and not unless he’s gotten some huge raise I don’t think he’s making that much. I know nothing about his coaching though and if he’s worth a shite. He’s also young as hell too and doesn’t have much experience. I wonder if other programs will come after him with promotions/ more money.

The fact that they left off Travis Williams of Auburn is odd to me, but I assume it's because he has the title of Co-Defensive Coordinator. He is young, but I can easily see him being a Head Coach in the future at a high level.

Bright kid. Met him at a convention a few years back. Very anxious to learn. Great quality to have in this business. Glad to see him continuing to do well.

How is Georgia's WR coach a rising star? That dude had the most underachieving unit possibly in the country. Star rating to production ratio was stunningly bad.

In his first recruiting class, brought in Pickens and Blaylock. That's 1000+ yards and 13 TDs by true freshmen. Both players rate as the best WR recruits at UGA in over a decade.

2nd recruiting class brought in 3 WRs at about the same level of Blaylock. We will see how they do this season.

Thanks for your interest in a conference website you would cut off your laughably tiny nutsack to belong to?

Was sad to see him leave Missouri. Halfway surprised Ryan Walters didn’t make the list but I bet there’s doubt on how much of the defense was him and how much was Odom which is fair.

I noticed there aren’t any OC or DCs listed. My guess is the question was worded to exclude them from the choices.

"Anonymous coach" usually means 1st year
GA or a 20 something support analyst.

These anonymous coach surveys are almost always garbage.

This is his 1st year at USC. I'm curious how most SEC coaches would know much about him at this point.

I know UT liked playing against him when he was QB.

This guy is really catching eyes. If he left after Chad, we would've lost a gem according to our 247 and recruiting guys.

Yeah only been here 2 years but already got us a lot of high end WRs.

4* Treylon Burks
4* Trey Knox
4* TQ Jackson (transferred to SMU)
4* Shamar Nash
4* Darin Turner
4* Jaquaylin Crawford (transfer from OU)
Possibly 4* Ketron Jackson in this class

Bet he'll be an OC somewhere within the next 5 years.

He signed 5 top 100 guys in the last 2 classes, and 2 of them excelled last year, so wr will be a strength going forward.

How was Florida’s QB coach selected? He wanted Franks over Trask.
