Name any college football programs that have won more national titles since the 2000’s than those three programs
Clemson has won an equal amount to Georgia in that time frame.

You know they played tackle football prior to 1983?

LSU is what, 10th all time in wins and bowl appearances and you’re comparing LSU to Mississippi State?
if you’re going to roast LSU pre 2000 try not to sound like a frothing retard

I feel like Notre Dame is this old, washed up piece of shite that just will not die. Every year they're touted as a top 10 powerhouse but they haven't done shite since the 80s. Just die already...

I’d flip Oklahoma and LSU. I just don’t see Oklahoma doing much better than A&M has done in the SEC

Penn State and Michigan are not bluebloods.
Michigan has 1 consensus title since 1949.
Michigan has 1 consensus title since 1949.

What a complete joke, LSU has won THREE national titles since 2000
The whole point of being a blue blood is having a long history of success overall.
LSU is a bit too new money to be considered a blue blood.

How can a team be considered a blue blood if they've never even had a 15-0 season?

Oregon is not a “contender”

UGA is not a Blue Blood but Nebraska and Tennessee is.

Exactly. It’s debatable where to draw the line for “blue bloods” but the order goes something like this:
1. Alabama
2. Oklahoma
3. Ohio State
4. Notre Dame
5. Michigan
6. USC
7. Texas
8. LSU
9. Georgia
10. Nebraska
11. Penn State
12. Florida State
13. Miami
14. Florida
15. Tennessee
16. Auburn
17. Clemson
There’s a gigantic drop after #17 but Michigan State would be next, and Oregon would come in somewhere closer to #25.
I’d probably draw the blue blood line either before or after USC.

auburn a contender? Do I really need to list their last 10 year record? They have losing seasons the last 3 years.

The only true Blue Bloods are the first four on your list.

I would think LSU deserves to be a Blue Blood over Georgia & Penn State.
And Nebraska over Penn State if you consider their entire history and not just recent history.
Not arguing that UGA is a blue blood, but I'm not sure we don't belong if LSU is included:
Georgia has a higher winning pct. all-time.
Georgia has more wins all-time.
Georgia has one less conference championship.
Georgia has the same amount of claimed national titles.
Georgia has been to more bowl games and has a better bowl record.
Georgia has the same amount of consensus all-americans.
Georgia has two less overall NFL draft picks.
Georgia has more weeks at no. 1 in the poll.
LSU owns the overall record. I think it's fair to say LSU is a blueblood. I think it's fair to say UGA is not. I don't think it's fair to say one is not and one is though.

It’s hard to draw the line and need to consider the context. Some programs with strong history that have continued to present day. I would say these are the blue bloods. Probably only handful. The others are programs with strong history but fallen on hard times (Nebraska), or programs without much history prior to last 10-20 years but have consistently performed in modern day (maybe an Oregon type). Other than Nebraska, Miami list seems pretty fair.

LSU was purple and gold Mississippi State before 2000 sit your arse down old man.
Entering the 2000 season the college football warehouse had LSU rated the 14th best program in CFB history. Hardly MSU. And here we are a quarter century later with 3 more national championships.

This quote just tells you it's not about actual accomplishments, but feels.
Georgia owns the head to head with UTK.
UTK has a better winning pct. all-time, but UGA has the most wins.
UGA has more conference championships.
UGA has more bowls and a better bowl record.
They have the same amount of consensus all-americans.
UGA has more NFL draft picks, first round draft picks and Heisman winners.
UGA has spent more time overall in the AP poll and more than double the amount of weeks at no. 1.
