We have a 20,000 seat arena for a reason. We used to fill it on a regular basis.

We pay well, and though Mike is a great guy a good coach, the seats weren't being filled. That helps pay his salary. That has gotten other coaches canned.

That's just the way it is,apathy isn't good enough for a base who has experienced much more.

Good luck and thank you Mike. And thank you for leaving with class.

What heinous treatment? Do you mean giving him a job, all the resources he needs to be successful at said job and then eagerly hoping that he succeeds? Nobody wanted Mike to succeed more than Arkansas fans.

Sad in the present day that coaches get fired for just winning i. e. Anderson and Johnson.

Years ago, that certainly would not have been the case. Many fans today have unrealistic expectations.

But for Arkansas, now you start all over again. How many years will it take a new coach to succeed?

To be fair, that black alumni coach was also a cheater in his first go-round with LSU under Dale.

How many years? Depends on the coach of course. Arky has the facilities, fan support, and strong history (it's beginning to fade though) so a Sampson, Beard, Buzz could rebuild pretty quickly, although I would be leery of Sampson.
