I don't know what is going on with him. But I know that HE THINKS he is right in doing what he is doing. Barely any 18 year olds reflect on negative experiences as their fault.

However, a good bet is that Mike Norvell takes him at FSU .... even with the baggage.

Georgia would too. Think about two tight end sets with:
Gilbert and Washington at UGA
-or-
Gilbert and McDonald at FSU

But this sounds like Norvell would take him in a second, to me.

Which has nothing to do with my point. He was there for a cup of coffee. He has emotional issues that affect everything he thinks about himself or others. Struggling in school, on a football team, bouncing from one NCAA team to another, or just making good decisions in life is almost impossible for some people whose emotions betray them.

It's easy to take for granted the health we enjoy. It can be hell for many others.

Location is a point that I see get often overblown here which makes sense since most of this board is middle aged men but location doesn't matter that much to 18 year old kids.

Look at the top recruiting programs, few are in what would be considered a "destination city."

By the same token, few of the programs in that type of city are top recruiters. It just doesn't have a lot of bearing on the decisions of recruits.

Supposedly has some mental health issues. Probably led to him not going to class which also doesnt help.

Buddy will get him fixed up right.
