And, LSU shut down Bama's offense in the first half. So...same?

Tua or Greg McElroy, totally the same

2010 Alabama offense was 20ish, this year top 5

2010 Auburn finished 53rd in scoring defense and their offense averaged a TD less than LSU's. Auburn's offense was held to 17 against Mississippi State and held under 30 a number of times.

LSU is currently 31st in scoring D and averaging 48 ppg. Only one team has held LSU under 36 and that was Auburn (though LSU had 500+ yards of offense). Against the top 3 scoring defenses they have played (Florida, Auburn and Bama - all in the top 20 nationally), LSU has averaged 37 ppg and over 500 ypg. The LSU offense is hard to stop. It's hard to win a title, but analytics are just that.

Joe Burrow ignores the space time continuum.

I am interested to see LSU play Clemson or Ohio State. Gut feeling is both of those teams have the edge in those hypothetical match-ups.

But, hey, I'm no expert and I've been wrong before. I will, however, be pulling for LSU. I don't have much beef with them. Regardless, I think it will be a great playoff this year.

These are the same analytics that rank Bama #3 in the nation right now...with 2 losses...to the only 2 ranked teams they have faced.

Analytics probably also indicated Orgeron wouldn’t go 12-0 or Burrow wouldn’t break every SEC passing record

Are we calling stats "analytics" now?

It's history. I don't give a damn what any other team did. and frankly, it doesn't matter what LSU or GA did, it matters what they are going to do next Saturday.

That is all. Geaux Tigers.
