He's not even better than Amari Cooper.

Marcus Lattimore

Further back than that, pre SEC days, Sterling Sharpe.

Yet he can’t be considered a better receiver than college Beckham

Jeudy has more receiving touchdowns in his “one year” than Beckham had in his career at LSU. Tell me more about how Beckham was a better receiver than the Belitnikoff winner. People can never think straight when comparing a professional as an amateur. Beckham topped 1K once and didn’t accomplish as much in 3 years as Jeudy has in two. He’ll have another 1k yard season and be a top 5 pick in the draft. He isn’t on the same level as Beckham was in college. He’s already a step above him

Football: aside from the obvious (Bo and Herschel), gotta say Javon Kearse.

Basketball: Pistol Pete or Shaq

Stats only go so far with WR's and awards are essentially stat contests. imo

You have different QBs, systems, opponents.

Herschel would of course be good now, but he would have to keep from trying to run over DL and LB's. That hurt him in the pros and these days would hurt him in college. SEC DL/LB are bigger and stronger now compared to 1980. Current SEC DL/LB are probably bigger and stronger than 1980 NFL DL/LB.

He would still be fast enough and strong enough to break through tackles if he just tried to go past instead of through.

So are you telling me that you think Beckham and Jeffrey were better pure receivers in college than Jerry Jeudy is, stats be damned? Is that what you’re saying? Did you watch him outside of the Georgia game? I’m getting the feeling that you probably didn’t. That, or Beckham’s success in the NFL has grossly overinflated his college prowess in your mind. Jarvis Landry was a better college receiver than Beckham

Lance "Bambi" Alworth could definitely play in today's game. He was fast and quick and would be a nightmare in the slot for defenses.
