It's weird talking to my dad about the SEC. He's 70 and I'm 25(yeah, he got a late start). Tennessee is this evil program that he wants off his lawn. I on the other hand, couldn't care less about them. They suck arse and have this weird/sarcastic view of their team and act like each year is their year. Kinda like the cool thing to do is talk endless amounts of shite, and then act like they don't care when they lose.
LSU is the team I respect and want Alabama to beat the most. It's taken him years to finally agree with that. For a while they were a joke to him, while they've been awesome in my eyes most years that I've really been into football.

same thing with my son. Born a few days after the 07 iron bowl. Wasnt old enough to know what was going on in 2010 so you can imagine the horror of the ending for the 2013 iron bowl for him.

Saban's tenure sure is spoiling young Bama fans, no doubt. Never thought about all that, but thanks for the perspective.
I've been lucky enough to watch some great Bama memories in my lifetime. Hopefully your kid doesn't go through anything like what Bama fans went through during the probation era's and coaching hell of late 90's & early 2000's. Those were hard times.....lol

Ten years from now he will be just another overweight 18 year old high school dropout wearing a Derrick Henry throwback jersey in the front of the line at the annual "running of the gumps".
