Never any talk about how mediocre A&M was for the last 10 years prior to this one or how Mizzou had won 5 of its last 6 games vs A&M and had been the better program than them in the Big 12 for quite awhile. Its all just oversimplication bullshite and theoretical "southern fit" crap. I understand your point, but in saying what I did to you, you get a taste of what these crap threads sound like to Mizzou fans.
No...I agree. I don't listen to the bullshite and that's all it is is bullshite. Missouri is a great addition and I'm familiar with the A&M hype as well.
I hope Gary Pinkel turns it around and I like Gary Pinkel but if he doesn't, Missouri will have to do something different. JMHO

Mizzou will be able to put its best foot forward this year since they aren't a MASH Unit No team in the SEC, Bama and LSU included, would have overcome that injury list. I'm NOT saying they would have had Mizzous record, but they wouldn't have shined
Damn, I like A&M more and more each day. They seem like intelligent folks. Plus I love the state of Texas.

I do too. I even like Austin and Texas is a good school. And the Longhorns can't help it...that's just who they are.

Thanks for the dose of realism.
For those who don't know what he's talking about (such as the OP I'm sure), he means starting RB and leading rusher out for entire season, starting QB out half the season and banged up enough to be ineffective the other half, offensive line so banged up that at least half the preseason starters were out every single game, even backups injured.
The result? Mizzou's worst offensive output in years and one of the least productive offenses in the nation. And before you yell "yes cuz of SEC defenses!", that was the case for Mizzou against Central Florida, Arizona State, Syrcuse last year as well. Now, as an SEC team should we have the depth on hand to compensate for that big an injury rash, say like South Carolina did to an extent? Sure. I'm not on here arguing that our depth and overall roster is where it needs to be yet. But conversely you can't argue that an injury bug that severe isn't going to impact any team, much less a first year SEC team still figuring things out like ours was.
Will it be better this season if we are healthy? I have no idea. But people should at least know the situation before talking about it.

Hell I think y'all get 4th in the East.
No shite.

I think they will too. Like I said, in the long run they should fall somewhere between Ole Miss and MSU. Not bad for a mediocre program.

I could see Missouri finishing 4th or even 3rd with a bit of luck. I hopes it happens. That might give Pinkel a chance to get things rolling again.

Neither does USCe and Arkie and that was 20 years ago. Arkie will always be SWC.
I never understood why people say that about Arkansas. They have a great fan base, great support, etc. Maybe some of you haven't been to Arkansas or are going by games in Little Rock. Their fan base, stadium, athletic support are better than some of the original SEC schools. If you think not then maybe you have something against Arkansas.

Sounds like fun. Missouri has a lot to offer and they'll make a comeback.

I'm not reading this whole thread.
Has anyone mentioned how it has barely even been one year?

cant read it all but i will offer this for thought, mizzou was at least as respected if not feared,in the bIG 12 as a&m. recruiting over the last 2-3 years has been the difference but mizzou is every bit the program that a&m is.

I'd like to play Mizzou once or twice before I start hating them.
The REC will release them to you as soon as they get good again

all BS aside, Here are a few things I believe.
True... This is the biggest factor to me. Mizzou is a great school and has done well in the big 12. I still don't believe they wanted in the SEC first.
Mizzou really is not a southern state. You can bitch all you want about texas not being SE, or deep south, but you'd be full of it. We drink sweet and unsweet tea. We eat country/chicken fried foods. We live for BBQ. We eat grits....
We are a fit culturally, and mizzou is struggling to be more like this.
They are so midwestern, they'd fit right in with the Wisconsin and Ohio States.
In the end, they are just different.
