They referred him to their stepchild Toyota dealership and he ended up driving a Camry or Rav 4 (can’t confirm which at this point) to meet Leavitt.

This. Who rents cars from a Lexus dealership? Is that even possible? The airports with private planes have rental cars available and they are generally on the higher end because you know, private jets.

Yes. Most dealerships rent cars. It’s a good marketing tactic. In fact if you are serious buyer deciding on a serious vehicle they will usually let you take it home to “test drive”. Because they believe you’ll become emotionally attached.
