I like DeBoer and am pulling for him to be successful and it’s impossible to fire him now and there isn’t anyone today that could reasonably be considered. He is a 10-11 win coach that can probably get you to the playoffs but that is his ceiling.
It’s not that we lost last night it’s getting throughly dismantled. Indiana looked like old Bama. He started out the season with an embarrassing loss to FSU and looked wholly unprepared. He ended the season getting blasted by UGA and IU. He wins the games his supposed to but beyond that I don’t know.

we went 7-1 in conference but just don't have the trench play to compete with the big boys but it's 10 win regular season and a playoff win so it is a step forward from year one
The heat isn't on YET but at a minimum he needs to be back in the playoffs next year and avoid the ugly losses
what happens with the Oline coach and Oline play will be key but on pace still (even if it looked ugly as shite at the end)

I honestly think he’s going to leave on his own when he gets the opportunity. He’s doesn’t appear happy there.

He is a good West Coast coach, mediocre defense and pass happy offense. He can be good again, but not in the SEC or Big 10, where you have to be able to run the ball and stop the run. He will not be fired for last night, but over the next year or so, he better develop a run good game and, more importantly, much better linemen on both sides of the ball, or he will be on the hot seat. He needs to replace some assistants right now, like both line coaches and probably his buddy Ryan Grubb, who was fired from Seattle after one year because he will not develop a run game.

I like the guy as our coach . People get too emotional over one game … sure it was embarrassing but I actually think he did a hell of a job to get us to the SECCG, playoffs ( with a win) and has a great recruiting class coming in. This team has several holes and was able to win 11 games . People don’t realize that in today’s landscape , coaches are not all willing to jump to bigger jobs bc they all make tons of money and don’t have as much pressure as you do at Bama ,LSU, UGA etc . All that to say, disappointing end to season but I think he is a top ten coach . Other Blue bloods were interested in him this year so he is in demand . I think we were lucky to get/have him . I knew there were several on the bama board who were going to crash when Saban retired

He's just a stop gap coach for two more years. We'll have to endure it until the buyout is reasonable and we can reset.
