Still wish we could’ve closed that Georgia game a few years ago. Had the lead for like 58 minutes until the end.

In roughly 100 years of polling Clemson and Georgia have only played the AP#1 team 9 times? (I’m kind of surprised how low a lot of these totals are).

Even worse I’d be willing to bet Clem 2-7 record is nothing but bama and fsu games.

Alabama proving once again that it's the GOAT program by nearly every metric that matters and it's not even close.

Michigan proving once again that just playing alot of games doesn't make you a blue blood.

Utah has never played a number 1 team?

They played (and lost) to #1 BYU in 1984.

Impressive bama is the only one with a winning record against AP #1.

Sane or not, Bama takes it as a personal insult if someone besides them is ranked #1.

Huh. Was that an AP-ranked number 1 BYU? The tweet in the OP has them at 0-0 all time.

ETA: Or maybe I'm wrong and that's not Utah. I can't think of who else would be "U U" though.

Arkansas and Notre Dame are tied for playing the most games.

BYU was #3 at the time of their game with Utah in 1984. The following week, BYU was #1.

Georgia and South Carolina hiding over there in the East with 8 or 9 different games agains the #1 team.

Next, do games against the AP top-25. I bet Arkansas leads that list too.

I mean Carolina consistently has tough schedules. Us being an independent for so long, and the ACC before that probably hurts us. Id bet we didnt play a #1 until 1980ish.

I do agree that Arkansas has had it tough, no denying that

Purdue is spooky as frick, 40% win rate against #1 over a good sample size is insane

Wonder how many of those were ruining OSU's season

Not a one of them was a win against the Buckeyes at #1.

They had 4 wins against Notre Dame in 1950, 1954, 1965, and 1967,
1 win against Michigan State in 1957,
1 win against Minnesota in 1960,
and 1 win against Michigan in 1976.

Purdue has spoiled Ohio State's season a number of times when they were highly rated, but never when the Buckeyes were #1.

Highlighting the fact that Saban got most of these wins

And, yet, Alabama still had more wins than LSU against the AP #1 without Saban.
