Arkansas is too low. Bump them up a level.
Take Michigan out of the top level and leave the elite level as Bama, OU, OSU, ND, and USC. That pretty well covers the most dominant, consistent teams of the major regions. Michigan is more like Tennessee IMO. Historically always good, but not enough titles to be the dominant brand in their region.

no. Actually, according to ncaa.com, as noted, UGA has 2.
1980 and 2021
Being that the NCAA doesn't sanction a Div 1 football championship, it's probably not the best source.
Georgia has more of a right to claim their 1942 NC than Alabama does to claim about a quarter of theirs.

Tennessee in tier 2 and UGA in tier 3?
Tennessee hasnt been relevant in 20 years. NO shot, unless we are putting Yale and Harvard in tier 1 due to all their NC's

I was thinking that when a Bama fan chimed in on claimed titles....

LOL. Blue blood status doesn't depend solely on number of victories. USC has won 9 national title, according to ncaa.com. Georgia has won 2. USC is definitely tier 1. Georgia is definitely not.
Yeah we aren’t on USC level but UT is a different story. We have more or less passed them already but there will be no doubt within 5 years. I’d say UF and Clemson have also passed them by or will soon.

Oh yeah. UF, Clemson, and UGA have definitely passed UT. They will eventually build back, but never will never be consistently as good as UF and UGA.

That's ncaa.com website. As far as I know they aren't biased to Alabama.

You can’t take out the last 10 years but if you did Clemson would be in the same tier as a WV. They are probably a tier to high still. If you are talking all time you can’t take away the past 10 years but you also can’t white wash the previous 80 years either

Too many tiers.
There should only be four tiers:
Tier 1: Blue bloods
Tier 2: Powerhouse schools
Tier 3: Solid programs
Tier 4: Bottom half of college football
I'm not going to waste time arguing the specific teams that fit into the fringes of these categories.

As much I think it’s fun to laugh at the Pigs they don’t belong that far down. I’d say bump them up one. Georgia and Clemson should be one higher as well. Bama deserves their own tier which makes me sad

They also don't have anything to do with Division 1 Football NC's

I'm curious why LSU is in 4 but UGA is in 3, they're pretty even historically.

UCLA
1 NC over 60 years ago, losing bowl record, 1 Heisman, 33rd in all time winning percentage. Not sure why they are being ranked so high.
UGA has 2 (or 3) NC, 2 Heisman winners, 12th in all time win percentage, has won 240 more games than UCLA and played in and won twice as many bowls..yet people are ranking them higher than or even with us. Makes no sense.

Just for a little historical context;
1942: Most humans have picked Ohio State, but the numbers love Georgia. The Dawgs had better wins, shutting out #5 Georgia Tech, shutting out UCLA in the Rose, and beating #10 Alabama by 11.
Ohio State didn't even play a bowl game.
Plus we ended up ranked #1 in more polls than Ohio State (there were like 15 or more back then).
No fricking way was Ohio State the best team in '42
We even had the Heisman trophy winner that year.
