Nice. I went to a wrestling camp there a few years back and got to meet Ben Askren. Dude was huge.

Everyone loved Ben Askren. And his brother Max.

And so they do have high school wrestling in the deep south, huh?

Yea its tough to not like askren but michael chandler is a machine. I think mizzou has a shot at 2 titles 125 and heavyweight. Look out for porter at 74 as well

I think I remember hearing a buy from the St. Louis Convention and Visitors Commission say some time back that the city of St. Louis bring in more money hosting the wrestling championships than it does hosting an NCAA regional, the Frozen 4, the MVC tournament and others. I wouldn't take that to the bank, but I think I remember that correctly.

If high heels and music notes in a signature don't give it away, I'm not sure what will.

It is beyond a travesty that it is being removed from the Olympics.

Yeah, I really don't get it. You think they'd want more low equipment requirement sports in the Olympics to make the kumbaya sessions a little more inclusive.

Well, they're fighting it. It's also one of the sports that countries without big budgets for their athletes can still compete in on a fairly level playing field. I hope they're successful in keeping it. Lose the canoe slaloms instead.

Good luck! I would hate to see one of the original Olympic sports disappear while they keep some of the junk they have in there now.

Are you referring to the OP? Yes, having an athlete compete in every weight class at the championships is very good. I'd let orangehater the coach elaborate though.
