All I know is that Goodman writes for AL.com and Pawl has him on to report on Bama and Auburn. So is he an Alabama alum, Auburn alum, or neither, just a sportswriter who works at AL.com without an affiliation to either school.

Just trying to get some context to understand if there is some "taking a shot at Bama" (if Auburn alum) or just somebody maybe wanting to take a shot at Saban more so maybe due to how Saban has treated him in the past, etc.

He's just a writer who throws up a bunch of hot takes for attention.

Worked for Clay Travis, so I guess that's the road he wants to try.

His job is to write scorching hot takes. He took that job from Scarbisnky who took that job from Finebaum.

Each has been progressively worse and less tactful at it. Goodman is just flat out bad at it.

Goodman is like a Cartel just lining up 10 people and mowing them down with machine guns. Boring, unimaginative, brainless.

Finebaum (old newspaper Finebaum) used to be like Gustavo Fring giving Don Eladio and his capos poisoned tequila and waiting for them to realize it and spaz out.

You got your first win over Bama in eight years

And thus the answer to WeeWee T's hatred of, insecurity, obsession and adolescent attachment to
anything relating to Bama. He's a one trick
dog & pony troll, riding on a thin one-game win
streak over Alabama.

You'd have to be an Alabama fan to want to read all of that.

You'd have to be fan of another school to be able to read it.

Quite the conundrum.

He'll keep it as long they want him there - somebody will always have it. In a state like Alabama there is always a good target because half the state will like it.

Scarbo was there for a decade at least (in that role, longer in other roles). He decided to retire from AL.com and just does random articles for other sites now (and they are quite good).

My gosh, this job was made for you

When Alabama is good you rip Auburn. When Auburn is good you rip Alabama. When both are good you rip Georgia.
