I've never been, but I'm not buying Michigan at #51.

The fact that Michigan (biggest stadium in the country) is 51st on that list is pathetic.

Hell, I’m ticked that we are only 5th. Kyle Field is not what it used to be, but Sumlin had a LOT to do with that. I think Jimbo is bringing that back up.

I haven't been to all SEC stadiums yet, but I have been to all SEC West minus A&M, Tennessee and Florida and Penn State this year for the Auburn game. The 2010 IB @ Tuscaloosa was the loudest environment I have personally been in.

I’ve been to a Michigan - Ohio state game and it’s shockingly quiet

Any list that has Kyle Field in the top 50 is a shite list

I think that BigGameBoomer is a master troll on Twitter.

Isn't he the one that put out the list of "best restaurants" in each college town, etc.?

He usually puts just enough of a subtle twist on those rankings to illicit outrage.

These lists are so dumb. What type of criteria goes into ranking them? The answer is absolutely nothing. It's probably some guy sitting behind a computer in his basement who just arbitrarily throws these lists together depending on his mood that day.

Everyone from coaches to players talking about it for decades, as well as a few earthquakes, suggests something different.

I think he does it to stir people up.

He's the Paul Finebaum of Twitter "rankings."

The stadium build and acoustics have a lot to do with it, LSU being an enclosed bowl is a big help when it comes to crowd noise

Surprised Oregon is that high. Don't know anyone who has been to their stadium, but I wouldn't have thought it would be that high.

I work with a few UTK alums that went out there in 2010 and the other in 2013.

They said it is as loud as advertised. They are both teleworking, but I remember them saying that the crowd is right there on top of the field, and the corner the student section is in is loud the entire game.

It probably helps Oregon that they just yell "Ooooooooooooooooooo" the entire fricking time.

Not doubting you but curious what year did you go? Horseshoe is criticized for being quiet even in big games (heavy on the corporate- down in front type of crowd) and the big house design is poor for crowd noise… also not much to cheer for usually
