Yeah part of the state is nicknamed tornado alley. I think it was Enterprise AL that got hit hard. They were taking up donations for it at the 07 spring game. Someone else probably knows more about it than me though.
The area in Bham the tornado went thru today was hit by an F5 in April 1998

Yeah, this is true. However, you'd be surprised at how many adults take part in such things.
Im too cynical to be surprised by much!

Okay Alabama people....I didn't read through this thread. But I'm driving to Mississippi tomorrow. I have to drive through Tuscaloosa. I saw where a tornado hit there today. I usually exit I-20 onto 359 to get to Hwy 82 in Northport. Do I need to find another route?

Worst Tornado event I think I've ever seen. I witnessed the 1999 Oklahoma one, but this one might even be worse.
The way the Birmingham/Tuscaloosa tornado was streamed on live TV and internet was so riminiscent of the F-5 that hit OKC was all over TV. I wouldn't be surprised to see a couple F-5 Tornadoes out of this.

Is that the outbreak where they had that real bad tornado in Xenia, Ohio?
I read about that outbreak in the past.
My dad and uncle nearly escaped with their lives in that one.
Sorry guys I have been at dinner. First off prayers to all who may be hurt by this.
How is t-town. Is the campus okay? Quick break down if someone doesn't mind.

Stay away from Tuscaloosa if you don't have to be there. Rescue and emergency crews will need all the cooperation they can get and not having to deal with through traffic or lookers will help.
