The funny thing is that many of the same people ridiculing his comment are the ones swearing that some of Bama's titles don't count because we weren't really the best team.

It's really not that shocking that the teams beating Bama end up with high rankings still. The ranked teams Bama beats dropped in polls while beating Bama gives serious bumps in rankings lately. If the teams Bama beat had won against Bama instead, I'm sure they'd still be ranked high too. Shoot, beating Bama under Saban will get you Heisman consideration or get you the trophy itself. You might not like it, but beating Bama holds serious ranking weight under Saban. So in a weird way it's an argument of which came 1st, the Chicken or egg?
Plus, there's no shame only losing to great teams

Seems it takes a pretty solid football team to beat Bama the last 5 years. Plus having a Heismen type player doesn't hurt either. Show me a better resume than the above the last 5 years. Would love a list of teams it takes to beat LSU lately. I'll hang up now....
