Alabama defense did pretty well, just got screwed by field position due to offensive mistakes(again).

No, Bama's defense did VERY well. They looked like a championship caliber defense

The offense let us down.

That has been the problem for most of the season. Even in games Bama won, the offense wasn't really that good. Passing game looked really good earlier in the season. It has dropped off considerably. That is why, if we are going to be honest, Bama does not deserve, nor have they looked like a championship team. If the offense could move the ball on the ground just a bit better, then my mind would change. But let's really be honest and drop the homerism, Bama at this very moment, does not look like a playoff team on the field.

Been saying the same, total BS a 3 loss team gets in. Vandy is a team that belongs over a team with 3 losses!

This is about Bama this year, and how last week they had negative yards rushing in an SEC chip game.

Oh, and that they haven't beaten a top 25 team in the last 63 days of this year.

If you're digressing, Patrick Peterson was in bounds too. Have fun at Oklahoma

Agreed. Three loses should never get in.

So.... Is a 10-2 team with a 30-something SOS better than a 10-3 team with an SOS of 6? SIX ranked teams on your schedule and you beat all but 2, and beat one of those in regular season IN ATHENS.
I HATE the Gumps, but I hate that everyone is glossy over a tough schedule.
James Madison is 12-1. Why aren't they ranked in the top 5? SCHEDULE.
Shut up.

if lsu played bama's schedule with their results, you'd say different. we're all biased; simply admit it.

Stop with that we beat multiple ranked team narrative. Two of the teams they beat on their schedule are currently ranked in the top 25 and it was proven beyond the shadow of a doubt the first one was a fluke victory. Imagine flexing because you beat Vanderbilt at home.

On the other hand they got skull drug by a 4-8 fsu team…..

3 loss teams should not go to the playoffs

Hold on to your skirt, Michelle.

When the CFP expands to 16 there will be 4-loss teams arguing to be in.

LSU would kill for Bama's average to be their average.

Moot point. Bama offense or lack thereof was exposed against Georgia. I would have given Vandy an opportunity to compete merely to reward their winning performance this season. Neither Bama or Vandy would be expected to win it all. Bama gets the nod just based on their historical past performance. Like the disclaimer on investment, past performance does not guarantee future success.

Alright, that you for your input on the matter. Don’t worry Alabama will not be in the playoffs very long.
