I wish the committee rankings would be weighted 50-50 against the BCS computers.
way too much eyeball test. eyeballs have had bama favored in every single game since 2015. eyeballs are wrong.
So they've been right in all but like 3 or 4 games?
Name the more accurate measure, I'll wait.

You sho do melt about the tide.

Bama will still be in it,
Nah, but the committee will rank BAMA #4 to keep from ranking either a Big 12 or Pac 12 team in that spot until things shake out...
The final rankings the P5 Champ with one loss will jump BAMA...
So, we get a melt tonight from LSU fans when BAMA is ranked 4th... then in a few weeks we will get more melts from BAMA fans that will bitch about how the committee jumped a team over BAMA that had been behind BAMA for weeks...

So they’re going to drop UGA 3 spots for beating Mizzou 27-0?
That's fair. Minnesota should leap frog UGA with their win, but nothing UGA did should justify that drop.
Penn State's loss to Minnesota is certainly better than a loss to South Carolina though; Baylor is undefeated and Oregon was already higher. I could see keeping UGA up and Alabama being below them, but UGA is a hard one to place with the way that B1G match-up went down.

Minnesota doesn't have any history of winning. That is why they started low and will remain that way. Much like a Baylor or TCU of days past.

Does not matter where the are tonight...that is its highest peak barring complete chaos above them. They will start to slide as these other teams with one or zero losses get at least one top 20 win. After barn loses to dawgs Saturday, gumps cannot have a single quality win, this, bye bye gumps!!!

Alabama should AT BEST be #6 tonight. Behind Minnesota and Penn St... Prove me wrong

Sounds about right. Why are you so focused on Alabama though?
I'm no expert and this is a guess -just a guess, mind you; but MAYBE it's because that time(s) that a 3rd place SEC West team ended up in the fricking national championship game....But it's just a guess

You put way to much effort into this.

people keep saying "eye test" but it's more about "ratings Test" having Alabama in the group of 4 will bring more viewers then having Penn St or Minn, which brings more money to the league.....
therefore, bama is in..... deal with it.

My best guess so far is:
1. LSU
2. Ohio State
3. Clemson
4. Minnesota (though I think Minn should be ahead of Clemson due to the SOS argument)
Next 6:
5. Baylor
6. Oregon
7. Penn State
8. Alabama
9. Georgia
10. Oklahoma
Actual:
1. LSU
2. Ohio State
3. Clemson
4. Georgia
5. Alabama
6. Oregon
7. Utah
8. Minnesota
9. Penn State
10. Oklahoma
Got 5 exactly right, but damn did I miss on Georgia and Minnesota (had them practically inverted).

The bottom line is that Minnesota has had 4 ugly wins...including a couple of very near losses...against some really shitty teams. The committee will consider all of that.
Wouldn't they also consider when most of those games were played and their very visible improvement on offense as the season has gone on?

Minnesota has 5 National championships.

So it the committee values a teams loss, then A&M should be in the playoffs with their three quality losses. This is freaking stupid. Bama should be ranked about 9th.
