Bama sure are trying to pin this loss on their 3 point shooting.
Serious question. If I told you before the game that Bama was going to score 85 points on AU’s defense only making 5 3’s would you have believed me?

Also, just making 8 of those attempts (instead of 5) would have made this a completely different game. They didn't "die by the 3" by any means. They gave Auburn a great game even while shooting poorly from 3.
Sure and if Auburn made FTs or something. Who cares.
I am still collecting moral victory vibes from yall and that is strange.

damn you make halfway normal fans look intllegent.
If you can't put the ball in the hoop you cant win. We got our arse beat on our own court.

Yes, because of the amount of fouls called on Auburn and free throws attempted by Alabama.
The only reason both were remotely close at the end is because of the final minute where Alabama kept forcing Auburn to shoot free throws to extend the game.
Also, it was a home game against Alabama so I knew they would get theirs, too. Auburn wasn’t going to shut down that offense.

The vast people I see say we shot bad.......but that doesn't really matter because I watched the game and thats what I clearly saw. And it does bother you or you wouldn't be trying to prove me otherwise to change my mind.

Maybe. If you told me yall shot 19% against Auburn I would have called it an L.

You're free to believe whatever you wish. I don't care. The reality is that Bama does not need to rely on the 3 to win games, and even this loss proves that. You can call that a moral victory if you want, but it'll still be the truth.

quote:After Alabama’s game against Arkansas, it was bound to happen. They couldn’t miss against Arkansas on the road, therefore they couldn’t hit against Auburn at home. Makes no sense in the grand scheme of things, but that’s how it happened. Basketball Gods are weird.
Alabama shot 5-26 from beyond the arc. Auburn shot 40%, 12-30, from beyond the arc. And Alabama still kept it within 10 points of the number 1 team in the country. It should have been a blowout.

4 TOs is insane. Bodes well for us, very poorly for Bama. The officials made it easy for Alabama to drive the paint and they still never really got comfortable doing it.

Nope.

You average 90.5 PPG and 10.3 made threes. You got up 7 more shots than your average shot attempts, so yes, I would have believed you. Auburn plays at a fast pace too. Both teams are in the top 25 of shot attempts per game. That was reflected in the game today.

I can only hope Bama shoots 19% from 3 against Missouri on Wednesday.

What people? And I watched the game too - AU defense was awesome. Bama looked very flustered on offense. So…….
Seems like you are trying to convince yourself on something. Coping as the kids say
