You have Deboer not Saban.

What do you not get?

'Bama owned UGA long before Saban got to town.

Trolling aside, I honestly think LSU is in for a rough year.

Bless you.

A&M was really good at recruiting. DeBoer is better than Fisher, but inexperienced and has never faced competition like in the SEC. He’s got Ole Miss, Tennessee, UGA, Texas, and even LSU if the defense is top 50 and if Nuss has grown even slightly since the second half of the UGA game.

I just hope Bama fans aren’t so bummed that they forget to turn their bed ridden wives every few hours. Bed sores are no joke, from what I hear. No one deserves to go out that way, even though I’m sure those women would love to be put out of their misery.

I don’t need something to hang my hat on. I hang my hat on the 2023 SEC championship trophy Alabama won by beating Georgia this past December, the eighth Alabama victory in the last nine games.

DeBoer has instantly improved the offense for every team hes coached as as either OC or HC going back at least to his first stint as fresno state OC. when he got to Washington he took them from the 100th ranked scoring offense to the 7th year one. What the rest of the SEC needs to get ready for is for bama to have the best offense in the country next year. We are absolutely stacked with talent, and deboer has always gottent he best out of the talent he has.

Our DC womack also has a nice track record of his teams getting better on defense year over year (not as dramatic as deboer's), and again hes going to have such a higher level athlete than hes had before. i expect us to at least stay about the same on defense, that is to say good enough to win it all depening on how the offense plays

what you wont see is the absolute dogshit play calling and complete lack of scheming that we had under BoB and Rees. Bama is going to go from the most predictable offense in the country to one where the scheme is always working in your favor getting the ball in playmakers hands

prediction. bama will be in the top 20 in scoring defense and the top 3 in scoring offense this season.

bama was 25th in scoring offense last year and 16th in scoring defense

We think we'll keep right on rolling with DeBoer including our ongoing mastery of Georgia.

What don't YOU get?

The point is that Alabama fans were told when DeBoer was hired that he would not be able to recruit here. While these guys aren’t signed yet, he’s proving that he can recruit here.

Not with Milroe we won’t but hopefully will be good enough to compete for conference title and playoff

I'm not worried about the offense even with Milroe. I think the staff is in place to scheme over his deficiencies. I'm deeply concerned with the defense. No coach on that side has done anything noteworthy on the Power 2 level at this point in their career.

Offense will be the biggest weakness. But apparently Milroe won’t be down on himself for it. DeBoer is making sure of that in practice now.

Down vote all you want but no one has told me anything aside from "be hopeful" regarding the defensive staff. No statistics, no record of exemplary player development, etc.

Defense is my favorite part of the game and I feel like DeBoer went dollar store on the defensive staff. A prime Saban wouldn't have touched any of these guys for his defense.

That’s not the problem. Good coaches come from all sorts of places. Their problem is they lost two corners to the NFL and a safety to the transfer portal. They have safety depth and nabbed a solid replacement from the portal. The real problem is both the outside corner positions.

We haven't had a defense to dictate to an offense since Pruitt left. And, it's high time we get back to that. If not, we will be an offense led program and that won't cut the mustard.

I have the belief this conference is about to swing back to being a defense first conference.

Then you'd be wrong as usual. The rules favor the offense in college, and that's not going to change any time soon.

Yeah, Bama beat us and won the SECC last season. But that was certainly not as sweet as us whipping Bama and win a Natty in 2021.
