gotcha. kinda figured if he would have been arrested then there would have been a suspension. seems like the typical fishing for money and blaming it on someone else case to me.

you were in the stadium, no? Saban ripped him apart on the sideline after seeing the replay on the jumbotron. Clearly he knew exactly what he did.
Well... no, I was in Mississippi.
For me I thought Saban ripped into him for getting a stupid penalty, not so much for the specifics. I may certainly be wrong. But more than a few here seem to be missing the point. There is no reason for Saban suspending Yeldon in any game for any length of time other than to send a message to Yeldon. And I think he has done that.

Ro likely kicked the guys arse in a fight, guy didn't press charges so no arrest, years later guy sued in civil court and got a settlement, Saban is the anti-Christ. What is so difficult to understand about all of this
I agree with this but this shite could have happened when ro was in high school and this kid conveniently brings it up when ro is the starting linebacker with a somewhat promising pro career.

Again, I don't see the point for a suspension at all. Kids do stupid shite. But this just comes across really poorly given he didn't get benched for a single play in the game he actually did this in. The message being sent is that when it's convenient, you'll get punished. Which imo, is worse than no message.
shite, you're coming across as the ultimate of butt hurt.
Why do you say this? If it was my decision, I wouldn't have sat him at all. I think suspending him is silly. I mean I clearly stated that and you quoted it in the bolded above. You are way too sensitive man.

The guy waited two years till Ro was in the NFL making a lot of money before he sued.

they showed it on the Jumbotron. A few seconds later I saw Saban chewing him out. So it happened after it was replayed for everyone in the stadium to see. Of course maybe he didn't look but any coach would have asked a ref what he did. Any coach.

OK, fine. I think a later viewing of the actual video would set him off more than what the Jumbotron or a ref had to say. But let's say I'm completely full of shite. I don't get your point. You've already said "I wouldn't have sat him at all. I think suspending him is silly.", so what's your gripe? I think Saban's intention was to send a message to Yeldon (and others) that that sort of nonsense wouldn't be tolerated. Mission accomplished, as far as I can see.
BTHO SMU, by the way.

I don't think he should have been suspended at all. He just made a minor mistake and let his in the game emotions get the best of him. You would think he gave the student section the bird. lol

I do not want to ever hear again what disciplinarian Saban is and how weak the other coaches are
what a joke

Four years, or an eternity...depending upon which side of the state you're talking about.

He's only doing it because its the CSU. No suspension needed Saban just wants everyone to see how he "disciplines" his starting running back. JOKE

Just sending a message to his players about dumb fouls, its more of an internal thing about discipline rather than a response to the typical media pressure that comes along with actually needed suspensions. Of course this wont stop the rantards from posting, but its nice to see who the big idiots are that came running to this thread thinking there is something to be had here. Finally, like Bama couldn't have gotten it done against Ole Miss for 1 Q with Drake, Fowler, Tenpenny @ RB . Try watching more Bama football and your ignorance wont be so obvious.
Well said. Couldn't have worded it better myself.
People will always try to find anything they can to grasp onto and make snide pseudo-intellectual comments about Bama, but this is nothing like JM being suspended for the first half vs Rice. I've read up to whatever page BlackPawnMartyr's post that I quoted is on, and nothing after that. I know the Rice/A&M game comparison thing has had to have been mentioned.
Saban is just sending a message to the players. And he let the players actually make the message! Brilliant move.

Gurley did the same thing but a gator chomp and then throat slash vs UF and if anything I think Richt gave a slap on the butt
This is kinda extreme but Saban knows his team better than I do...I suppose
