Again, I don't see the point for a suspension at all. Kids do stupid shite. But this just comes across really poorly given he didn't get benched for a single play in the game he actually did this in. The message being sent is that when it's convenient, you'll get punished. Which imo, is worse than no message.

shite, you're coming across as the ultimate of butt hurt.

just read the article on it and yeah he settled a year ago for around 75k...so rolo wasn't arrested but setteled out of court for that much money. seems a little fishy to me...it was just a lawsuit...seems to me like the kid was just looking for money

This McClain stuff was three national championships ago. Do you know how long three national championships ago is?

Depends on the school. At LSU that would be pre-1958 (assuming we were talking only football championships. Since you are a Bama fan and that is the only sport you are good at, I feel comfortable making that inference.).

And what Sumlin did was bullshite. Why are you bringing it up? Saban did what most coaches would do, suspend for the very next game.

And Texas A&M fans still defend it.

Rolo later paid the kid in a settlement to avoid legal repercussions

quote:

Attorneys for both sides declined to say if McClain paid Mangham as part of the settlement. The motion for dismissal said each party was required to pay its court costs.

Guess the hospital visit for the broken jaw was from someone else and Rolo just felt bad for the kid.

quote:

McClain denied the allegations in court documents. One of his defenses was that damages complained of by Mangham "were caused and/or contributed by his own negligence and/or the negligence of others."

Cool stories bro.

Ro could have been arrested, the kid just wanted money to pay his medical bills

well if ro was arrested then he probably should have gotten a suspension...haven't read anything about him being arrested though...just calling it an "alleged" incident

so how long is Evans suspension? at :16 sec mark

Why would he be? Did anything he did (which I didn't see, by the way) result in a penalty?

Ro likely kicked the guys arse in a fight, guy didn't press charges so no arrest, years later guy sued in civil court and got a settlement, Saban is the anti-Christ. What is so difficult to understand about all of this?

How can we turn this into a thread about Mark Ingram?
