“Do you have a degree?”
“I do. It’s from...”
“You’re hired.”
No one cares.

Rocco Lampone...Bama has 53% acceptance rate...
Acceptance rate, as I mentioned to a poster, isn't the best barometer of how competitive a school is...GPA's, SAT/ACT scores, etc., are much better barometers to gauge by.
When looking at the University of Georgia website, I found the following info which is the latest info (2018) that they have released.
For UGA...
"The approximately 5,750 first-year students in the Class of 2022 have an average weighted high school GPA of 4.04, which is a record at UGA, and an average ACT score of 30, which ties last year’s record.
For comparison, the average weighted GPA of incoming UGA students was 3.9 four years ago, and the average ACT score was 29. SAT scores of incoming students have reached a record level, as well, with an average of 1365 for the Class of 2022 compared to 1344 last year.
The rigor of students’ high school coursework relative to what is available at their school is a key factor in admissions decisions. Members of the Class of 2022 completed an average of eight College Board Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate or dual-enrollment courses in high school, which ties last year’s record.
“As the University of Georgia gains prominence as one of the top public research universities in the nation, the caliber of students we are attracting continues to rise,” said UGA President Jere W. Morehead.
Demand for a UGA education has risen to unprecedented heights. Nearly 26,500 students applied for admission to the Class of 2022, and 48 percent were offered admission. Since 2014, the number of applications for undergraduate admission has risen by nearly 30 percent."

When I learned how easy the Miss. schools and WVU were to get into at HS college affair, I was AMAZED. There's no excuse for not being able to get into college.

I don’t care about statistics. I know facts.
I have 5 nieces/nephews and 2 children all of whom love in Alabama and had either all A’s or A/B grades.
Every single one of them was accepted to Alabama in less than a month. Only the ones with ACT’s above 28 were accepted to Auburn quickly.
Ask any kid 18-22. Bama will immediately accept anyone with an ACT above 16. It’s not even hard.

That was pretty close to the truth in 2003. It isn't even close to true in 2019.

Even though the OP is fake news, who the hell cares what school is the easiest or hardest to get into? Last time I checked, none of us really keep up with how our school’s scholar’s bowl team is doing.

Yeah...not true. I may or may not have scored a 17 on the ACT back in 2005 and Jacksonville State University may or may not have been the only school to offer me a conditional acceptance to school.
And before you talk shite, I only took the ACT to make my parents happy. I had no plans for college and planned on enlisting as soon as I graduated from high school. Things ended up changing.

Feeding a stereotype one Freudian autocorrect at a time.
Jk. to all the future lawyers and the other couple/few astronauts or cow doctors, whichever the case may be.

From the Georgia Tech website on admissions acceptance:
"Georgia Tech does not require the SAT writing section. Note that GT participates in the scorechoice program, which means that the admissions office will consider your highest score from each individual section across all SAT test dates. At Georgia Tech, SAT Subject tests are optional; applicants can submit SAT Subject test scores if they believe they will improve their overall application."
No, Tech Turd...I'm afraid you are the retard! No writing requirements??? You may be able to slide that rule, but not being able to read, spell and speak -- at least -- on the level of a fifth-grader renders you one with no common sense and a complete lack of competency. In other words, you're a nerd.
Also from the GT website....average SAT scores from 2017 were 1350. UGA's for 2018 were 1365. I would expect GT's scores to go up a bit for 2018, but GT hasn't released that info as of yet.
You're real problem is that you KNOW UGA's academics are nearly on par with GT's overall (GT is an engineering school; therefore, one would expect their scores to be somewhat higher than a general academic school), and you hate it. Plain and simple.

Bama takes a lot of conditional enrollees (mainly instate). Those numbers are not used when calculating incoming Freshman test scores.
