Alabama fans are you hearing this about Alabama offensive coordinator Tommy Rees could be a candidate to replace Tom Allen at Indiana?

I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. Reese is very replaceable.

As long as BoB stays at least 500 miles away from Tuscaloosa, we're good.

Seems like a bad move on his part. Taking a bottom tier Big 10 job, when the league is about to get even harder, seems like a bad idea. If he has a successful year at Alabama next year, then he could get a much better job.

I’d be fine with it.

I appreciate his work with Milroe and I’d have to assume he’s due some credit for Milroe getting better this season.

I can’t really forgive his game against Texas.

As not ready to compete as Alabama was then, we probably win with a similar offense that we showed in the LSU game. The massive issue was Milroe wasn’t ready to take heat from a DL like that while also being told to never run and always have his eyes up.

Almost all of the issues with Alabama’s offense disappear if Milroe is runningnthe football like he is now. I think he was coached to never run in that game.

Which is idiocy, imo.

Would be a dumb move.

Milroe could be a legitimate Heisman candidate next year which could propel him to a much better opportunity.

Not hardly since Rees was Saban's 3rd choice.

Also he’d be an idiot to do this.

There’s NO reason for him to jet with the offenses and QBs he’s about to have in Tuscaloosa.

Prove yourselves with every advantage in the world and take a solid gig. Or, I guess go take the Indiana job and have zero positive things said about you for the next 4 years.

Alabama seems to be a market schools go shopping when they need any coach. Got to be frustrating to Saban. He can't keep anyone.

Saban's condition for BoB to coach at 'Bama was a minimum of 2 years to maintain at least some sort of consistency. Would assume Rees would've needed to make a similar agreement, but who knows.

Rees has grown on me during the second half of the year, but who knows whether or not Saban is pleased with him. He has definitely been known to tell coordinators, "I'm not saying you're fired, but I am saying if you get any other job offers it would be a really good idea for you to accept one of them," so I could see that happening here too.

I find Saban has been more loyal to coaches not doing their job well than I would be. My loyalty would be with placing the players in the best position to be successful. The coaches would have to step up or step off.

Rees is nothing special. I believe if Saban is to win another national championship he will need another star OC.

If so, I really hope Saban goes after AJ Milwee.

Milwee should've been the choice before BOB. But, I felt hiring BOB was about friendship and politics and not hiring the best OC.
