We gashed bama on the ground with our 4th and 5th string RBs. Yowzas
The refs with one no call gave him a free pass on the season with them.

I wouldn't go that far. UGA is probably the best team in the nation and Bama gave them all they wanted. A little more seasoning and they will be more than a handful for any team in the playoffs.

I guess drawing a distinction between one person hitting someone in the head and the other not doing that was a bit too much for you.
You may have missed that minor difference.
But why don't you tell us how Kirby's leadership dictates a team culture where players and staff are involved in drunk street races that end up killing people?
I mean, it was (as far as i know) one drunken street race. And we can all look at our teams and point fingers. That said it is more culture when teams quit or give up in a game than what some players do away from the coaches. It has more to do with what players think they can do on the field in front of their coaches, than what a bunch of teenagers do when they get together on a Friday or Saturday night.
And, before you get your feelings hurt and try to twist what I am saying...I am not saying Alabama quit this past Saturday. I am just saying what constitutes as culture for a football team. I really don't see much of a culture problem on either team. Both seems to have fire in their eyes and a will to win, even when the odds are stacked against them.

The distinction is that the head coach is responsible for both's actions (both himself as the coach and the player's actions).
So Kirby is responsible for killing someone. Gotcha.
And it is actually ironic for you to use a gif from a song called "Ironic" where the writer eventually admitted that she mistook bad luck and misfortune for irony when she wrote it.

You should probably check out the thread on what a badass Kirby is for his pregame speech.
Kirby is Kirby.
He has always been that coach.
The school wants him to be himself.
Kirby also shows clips every week of personal foul penalties (college and pro) to instill a culture on the players.
His post-game speech to the team referenced this regarding the personal foul on Lee.
If you watched the game, every time something bad happened with a UGA player coming off to the sideline, Kirby's hand gestures were to stay calm. UGA has been an overly penalized team this season. Fortunately, it has not been stupid personal fouls.
That starts and ends with the head ball coach.

Again, the game last year in Athens ended nearly the exact same way as this year's, except we were the ones trying to kill the clock and your sophomore 5-star CB committed an egregiously dumb personal foul penalty to extend our drive.
It happens.

Just playing devils advocate with your boy meansonny. If he wants to hold draw a connection between DeBoer outburst and the penalty, I am going to ask if that means meansonny draws a connection between Kirby and an incident of vehicular manslaughter. He wants to pull at that string, I will pull.

Kirby has done everything physically possible to improve the driving situation with Georgia players.
If you want to say that those efforts ramped up after the car accident, I agree.
Kirby is evolving, changing, and improving. Even this season, things are continuing to evolve with regards to the CEO level decisions. Change is constant in the program.
Kirby will be a better CEO next year than he is this year.
And the same can absolutely be true for Deboer. But that doesn't negate the irony that your fan base is happy that a less controlled Deboer may lead to a less controlled team.

That said, Deboer says and does all of the right things after the game. He is a great coach. The fanbase? It will be interesting to see the ebbs and flows because Deboer isn't nick saban.
Right, I agree. most fans, of any program, can't seem to understand with NIL now, it's nothing like when Saban was coaching. Everything has changed. It's no longer effective to yell and cuss at guys who make more money than your assistant coaches and can just leave for greener pastures at any time.
Before someone brings up Cignetti, yeah, he yells and cusses and has a bad temperament, but his guys get paid and so they are willing to put up with it.
I recall last season, on the Alabama forum, there were posters wanting DeBoer fired and Bama bring in Jimbo or Dabo or even promote Kane Wommack! LOL.
BTW, they are presently angry at Grubbs because "We don't run the ball enough!" Like Bama can miraculously resurrect the 2012 team with the same results. It's a different time and a different era.

Bama fans have spent the past 5 years crowing that Kirby could only beat Bama/Kaitlyn in rematches. Now that (retarded) talking point is dead, you think the fan base is thrilled with him?

Not really. They both hit at each other, but when Lee hit Dandrige the second time...that's what got him. Probably nothing would have been called had he stopped after the first hit.

True I definitely agree with this. It was a good game. Gives us something to argue about lol

Alabama has a heckuva team. They seemed stronger and more physical that the last several years. I think DeBoer is going to be a great hir long term and his coming out party is this year. I hate to see it!

I actually should say I hate it for Lee. It's a heated moment that got away from him. Something similar happened to me in the State playoffs in high school....but thank goodness I didn't get flagged for it. I definitely could have, though.

Thanks. I agree but I'm not sure Alabama would beat Georgia in a rematch unless they improve. The QB needs to improve his reading of the defense and not panicking like he did several times Saturday night.
The defense has a lot of improving to do. Georgia controlled the LOS for most of the second half and Bama barely had the ball because the defense couldn't get a stop and get off the field.
I think Bama is a very good but not great team. They are a top 8 team but not top 4. Georgia is definitely the best team in college football at the moment but it would be a great matchup with either Ohio State or Miami. Notre Dame might give them a decent game, but they would stomp Indiana, Texas or BYU.

Lose this week at Tennessee and again at LSU which would result in missing the playoffs will = back on the hotseat.
