2nd team All SEC LB. Led the SEC in tackles for loss, 5th SEC in sacks.
He and Will Anderson should be one of the better edge rush duos in the country.

That’s big for the 2021 defense. Allen really came on this year, especially the second half of the season.

Quite a bit now that Allen is back. Lose Surtain, Moses and Barmore. Ray too, but he didn't play much with all his injuries. Jobe the only one still up in the air.

That is great. We should be nasty on the edges with Allen and Anderson, along with Drew Sanders, Braswell, and Dallas Turner (all 5 stars.)
Now if only Saban can convince Jobe to return, that would be much needed.

As good a depth chart 1st and 2nd team deep as we've had since 2016.

Defense should be very good next season, or at least as good as a defense can be in this current era

Ray is a redshirt junior. And was injured most of the season. He should be back.

I think it'll come down to our cornerbacks. If Jobe comes back, then we just need to fill one spot. But if Jobe leaves, and we have to fill both starting CB spots, then that gets really dicey. Good news is that our safeties and the star/nickel should be much improved from this year, and our edge pass rush will be lethal, so hopefully those can mask any lag we have at CB.
