The NCAA upholds it's decision to vacate Notre Dame Football 21 wins. LINK

Because of that, Alabama (891) has jumped ND (885) for the #6 spot in all-time wins. (this includes FCS teams)

1. Michigan 943
2. Yale 902
3. Ohio St. 898
4. Texas 898
5. Nebraska 893
6. Alabama 891
7. Notre Dame 885
8. Oklahoma 884
9. Penn St. 878
10. Harvard 869
11. Penn 850
12. USC 834
13. Tennessee 833
14. Princeton 822
15. Georgia 808
16. LSU 787

If we take out the FCS teams, Bama would be #5.

Should pass Nebraska this year, one would think... though who knows with Frost. I wouldn't anticipate an overnight turnaround, but he is a good coach.

Would think Bama should be able to take the #2 spot at this pace

UT's has sucked worse than any time in their history for the past decade, they'd be in the top ten if they'd have stayed relatively competitive.

does this number include games Alabama had to forfeit in 1993 and vacate in 2007?

Yes. Alabama is already over 900 on the field.

Are you counting Bama's vacated wins from their NCAA years?

8 game differential with Ohio State is likely tough to make substantial gains on right now. You need to pass Nebraska, and then hope that Frost gets them good (OSU's permanent opposite division rival at this time, though may rotate in a couple of years?)

They just have a pretty easy go of it right now, with what amounts to about a 2-3 game regular season in conference and maybe one good OOC team. Alabama has a wide lead in talent over the rest of the SEC not named UGA, and even still has an edge in "seasoned" talent there as well. Have to assume that at worse you win 10 games in the regular season + a bowl, and with a ceiling of SECCG + Playoff/NCG should mean 11+ wins/year for at least the next several (depending on Saban). Gotta think that OSU is able to average about the same unless PSU can sustain what they've done the last couple of years and shrink the gap as well as Harbaugh keeping UM relevant (he's gotten crushed in his rivalry matchups).

No, those games aren't counted as wins.

And where is Auburn on the list? That's something to laugh about.

Alabama would already be hot on Michigan’s tail for #1 if those were included.

Yes, along with Ohio State's 12 vacated wins from the 2010 season.

Yes. ND is a little pissed ( LINK), but, it's funny, they didn't say anything when they benefited from Bama's 21 vacated games.
