When I lived in New Orleans, a restaurant with a good health department score wasn’t worth eating at.

That wasn’t what I said. If anything it’s worse that kids are surrounded by a roach infestation.

Always funny when one group of Southern trash complains that the other group of Southern trash is trashy. Face it, we are all in the same boat.

Most of us have witnessed the filth, disease and debauchery of New Orleans and Baton Rouge. Two of the nastiest cities in America. This won’t go well.

I will say that one of the nice things about eating in restaurants in Alabama is, unless it has recently changed, the health department requires the score to be posted up front. It is a score from 0 to 100 and written in large numbers that is clearly visible.

I would rather eat actual roaches than spend an evening on Bourbon Street.

This thread is akin to Lizzo calling Gal Gadot fat...
Or Mexican cellpool saying that an average human A-Hole that it's nasty...
Just doesn't sit right..

Could have something to do with all of the rain. Drives the outdoor critters inside.

The problem Alabama has is that they don’t have enough manpower for cities even the size of Tuscaloosa w/r/t restaurant inspections.
My dad’s old gas station in a rural town got one at least once if not twice a year when I was growing up in the 90s/00s. Even before the pandemic, I’ve seen inspection papers well over a year old in various places around Tuscaloosa.
In 2018 or 2019, the health inspectors shutdown several places (especially around the Midtown mall) in a few days time. Seems like their plan of attack in Tuscaloosa is to show up out of nowhere and punch a few restaurant owners on the nose every year or two…and hope that scares the lot straight.
