Not based on what has happened this season.

Of course Alabama has Saban, and Florida just escaped Muschamp.

But hey? Just goes to show on field results, resume, statistics, strength of schedule, doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things.

If you have a relatively good recent history, you will get the benefit of the doubt.

And obviously Bama has a better, MUCH BETTER history than Florida has in the last 4 years.

Agree with all of that. Polls are meaningless right now though.

...and what difference does that make? Win out and we'll get to play it on the field.

Boo hoo. Both have one loss. Alabama has played a better schedule. Don't struggle with Kentucky, ECU, and Tennessee and you don't have to cry about being ranked lower than Alabama. (In a meaningless poll)

I'm afraid the Committee is no better than the BCS rankings. The mulligan between LSU/Bama is the reason they changed things up. But what has really changed? No way Alabama deserves that top 4 spot right now. They have a bad loss on their resume. As much as I dislike Notre Dame, their loss is much better. And so is Florida's. And so maybe the undefeated teams have not played a tough schedule. They are still undefeated.

Who cares? Bama has to play LSU this weekend. If Bama wins then they have earned that ranking and if Bama losses it won't matter UF will jump them. UF also more than likely gets a rematch with LSU or a matchup with Bama in the SECCG in dec. If these were the final rankings it would be bs, but these are just the initial ones and there is alot of football to be played.

Just like Ohio State living on last year's success. Florida's last season is also remembered.

Meh, not worried about it. The eyeball test tells me we are a top 10-5 team. We aren't winning any Nattys with our QB situation.

Relax and be happy we are we are. If we make it to the SECCG and win, then I will be more concered of where we are. A lot can and will happen tween now and then.

You just HAVE to beat FL State this year. Shut them up for awhile.

Florida's strength of schedule is 6...

And Alabama totally didn't struggle with Tennessee...

Cool your jets drama queen, nobody is crying about it, just stating his opinion. Everything will work itself out as it should.

We both struggled against Tennessee. You won by 1 we won by 5. You beat UK by 5 and ECU by 7, that was with your starting QB. Sorry you didn't make a good impression on the people who matter in cfb.

What about the Ole Miss game?

Maybe so, but it doesn't matter...so many of those teams in the top 10 have to play one another...LSU and Bama play this week and Florida will likely play either the winner, or perhaps Ole Miss, in the SECCG...TCU, Baylor, & OU still have to play one another...Ohio State and Michigan State have yet to play, and the winner of that will likely have to play Iowa...

The initial poll doesn't mean much...bottom line, if UF wins out, they're in...and it won't matter what teams were ranked ahead of 'em in the initial CFP poll...

It's not like Florida has a recent history of starting strong and finishing like a dumpster fire either.

Win a tough road game and we'll talk.

Your best win is against 18 at home. Our best win is 19 away.

Right now, Florida, Alabama and LSU are all in basically the same position. If any of them wins out through the SECCG then they will be in the CFP. That's a good place to be in November.
