It's amazing how recruiting isn't seen as a big deal for other programs in this day and age, but people like you seem to think it is for Alabama.

That was always inevitable. Now throw in all the changes. It is what it is. Won’t stop me from having an interest though.

The reason people don’t pay that much attention to recruiting anymore is because of the portal, not NIL.
It is funny. When Alabama was landing top 3 classes every year people were lined up to argue that recruiting rankings weren’t accurate, that 3 stars could be just as good as 5 stars, that there was an “Alabama bounce” that artificially boosted Alabama’s recruiting rankings and all manner of other reasons why Alabama’s success in recruiting didn’t matter.
Now that traditional high school recruiting really doesn’t matter that much, people like the dumbass OP alter are lining up to talk about how important high school recruiting is.

How do you think these kids are vultured in the portal? How do you think Alabama just got that OL to transfer to Alabama from Michigan? How do you think Auburn got the CB to transfer from Florida State?

Nothing at all like it used to. Pre-open portal if a program had a couple of years with bad recruiting classes they were hosed. Now with the transfer portal and enough money a program can overcoming bad recruiting classes.
Prior to the portal high school recruiting success was vital to success. Now it is not. Is it nice? Yes, at least until they transfer for more money or more playing time. Is it essential to success? No. Just look at the last national champs in basketball - Michigan- and football - Indiana. Both of those teams relied on the portal, not high school recruiting, to turn them into national champions.

Bama has the worst rated recruiting class in the SEC. Yes its JUNE, but when have you ever heard that sentence in the past 30 years?
