We beat'em up in the trenches pretty bad. A lot of them came off gimpy.

If only we had the LBs and DBs .... ::: sighhhhhh :::

Its rare that I find myself agreeing with Auburn folks, but this guy is spot on.

But it actually makes no sense. If a finesse offense controls the ball more than the other team, it help the defense. If they don't, it hurts the defense.

It all has to do with minutes played, not style.

Well, on the brightside, the defense will be well experienced in 2020 and loaded at DL and LB

Finally something banner-worthy.

I don't think it's safe to assume anyone will stay at Alabana at this point (Anoma, Alfano, etc.,)

Ray reinjured his foot he hurt during camp.

Davis came back in the next series.

I’m not aware of anyone else being injured in the game.

Likely heading to a redshirt. Don’t think he’s participated yet. But might get in this weekend.

Alabama will have to outscore a few teams this year. LSU will put up a lot of points. Will be interesting to see how high the score will be for both teams.

Which is such a bizarre thing to suddenly be a possibility for that match-up

Which is why he got yanked. Obvious confusion on his part
As to what the defense was suppose to do. He got LESS
Playing time 2nd half.

Having to practice, day in and day out, against a finesse offense hurts a defense when they are matched against a team who can line up and run it down your throat.

Every year this happens to someone. This year it’s Bama. The LSU front seven is also a triage unit right now. That’s why people shouldn’t roll their eyes when there are 7 DLs in the recruiting class.

I can never remember that happening. Because of the offense they will win probably 10 which is a credit to the program but there you go.

No sympathy at all for Bama.I remember playing them in the '12 SECCG with almost 20 less scholarship players.

Ray is out 6 weeks, then he'll be monitored to see when he's coming back, but he's not done for the season.

Lsu lost their starting safety, Todd Harris.

For those who don't know, on the official depth chart, the starting safety opposite Grant Delpit has been listed as "Todd Harris or Jacoby Stevens," but Stevens has actually been the starter. So, we technically didn't lose a starter.

But Stevens is much more of a box safety -- almost a LB -- good at rushing the QB and stuffing runs. Harris was much better in coverage, and played a lot.

Losing Harris is definitely a blow and hurts our defensive flexibility and makes an already thin secondary even thinner. Our starters in the defensive backfield are all excellent players, but we're screwed if anyone else goes down, and we'll be taking risks to rotate anyone in there if we want to give one of our guys a break.

I'm hoping someone fills that role. May have to be delpit staying deeper and let Jacoby play closer to the LOS. It's been shaky back there. Still believe aranda can hide it some with a more diverse blitz package. We have been really vanilla on D
