It's actually funny how you guys think coaches will be lined up to follow Nick Saban at Alabama. Alabama better get ready for that Rebound coach, Ron Zook, or some other unknown, all eager to step up and scream "Roll Tide."

Ask Florida or Texas fans; they went through the same thing after Spurrier and Big Mac retired

This isn't our first time replacing a GOAT.

The draw was Saban, now you’re just a shitty little dump in Alabana.

They already know how this works...other than Stallings, lots of pitiful seasons after Bryant. I think even Tuberville beat them 4-5 in a row before Coach Saybun arrived

Hope that Lanning takes it or you might be in a coaching search.

Sure, let’s talk about the decade that followed Bear.

Hired an NFL head coach that ended up going 32-15-1 and posted 3 Top 15 finishes in 4 seasons so I wouldn't say it was the disaster you're expecting.

Bryant also ended on an 8-4 season. If whoever is hired can keep most of the roster in tact Alabama is in better position now than when Bryant retired.

And how many misses did Alabama have before they hired LSU's ex-coach that LSU found? Lol...Let's see Mike Price, a guy named Shula and A&M's coach (I can't even remember that duds name)

Your post makes it seem like you think Gene Stallings was the GOAT. He was good but not the GOAT.

What part are you missing? No one already established is going to want to come to Alabama and step into Nick Sabans shadow...Get ready for that rebound, 2nd tier coach

They should remember the years between Stallings and Saban. It’s all a cycle. They were just fortunate enough to get the best college coach ever at a relatively young age.

Are y’all ok with that? Going 8-4/9-3 every year?

It took a while, but we landed on our feet. And we snagged a few SEC titles and a natty along the way.

That's exactly my point. The hire of Saban should tell you we learned quite a few things during that time.

Bama had 2 coaches between Bear and Stallings and 3 coaches between Stallings and Saban. Every single one of those coaches had at least one 10-win season (even though one of those seasons was vacated).

Most programs would love for Alabama's "down years" between Bear and Saban to be their norm.

Between the money and resources of Alabama, the line will be pretty long.
