Except for this time you're not playing Auburn with Kerryon Johnson injured.

Auburn has more excuses than Carter's has pills.

Don't forget your schedule...injuries...refs...west....
You guys need to huddle up over on the Auburn board and come up with a few new excuses. Next year promises to be another long year for you.

Alabama’s long list of injuries ahead of Monday’s Playoff National Championship now officially includes starting right guard Lester Cotton Sr, who appeared to suffer some kind of leg injury during a Sugar Bowl semifinal win against Clemson.

Cotton joins three starting linebackers on the shelf for the Tide in the title game against Georgia. The Tide are generally healthier on offense than they are on defense, though tight end Miller Forristall has been out almost all year and another offensive lineman, Brandon Kennedy, is also done for the season.

“We’re not healthy,” Saban told reporters at the National Championship’s media day on Saturday. “We’ve got an injury list that’s really, really long. It’s been a cumulative effect of the season.”

Wow. And they didn't even use the injury excuse one single time. Another difference between Auburn and Alabama, I guess.

The entire program seems broken to me. I've never seen so many grumpy unhappy people. And the best part is that to change anything that would really make a difference (Gus) will cost them millions and millions.

That's the key to the game I think. If Georgia can get into Tua without blitzing that opens everything else up. That's what State was able to do and then blitz off of it on their own terms and we did not respond well.

But Georgia is 109th in sacks so that ain't happening. That all you got?

Part of the reason he sat out against us was we roughed him up. Tennessee he just destroyed.

Our 3 DL are not the same quality as Miss St. But we are underrated on the DL (especially with the recent emergence of Jordan Davis at NT as he has made the entire front 7 better).

Just a guess...
This season, Kirby and Mel have tried to take away the opponents best feature. And we have been good at it.

I think we play to stop the passing game. We don't load the box. We try to keep everything underneath. And we pick our spots to send pressure.
Wasn't one of the on Tua to get him rolling to his right?

If they can't get any pressure with 4 they'll have to score 35 on offense I think.

That's been the MO of opponents since LSU. It definitely slowed us
and made us take longer to move the ball. I'd guess they'll try to shorten the game and tell the offense thet gotta go blow for blow with us.

We eventually broke LSU and Auburn in the 3rd quarter, but their offenses aren't as good as Georgias.

10.5 per CBS sports app
It started at 10 1/2 but it's now 13 1/2...the sharps( smart or professional money) jumped all over Alabama.

You know this whole UGA v Bama thing makes AU feel so dam dirty. They make 30 for 30’s about Bama v Auburn hatred. Kirby should get a Nobel peace prize for getting auburn to pull openly for Bama

There is only one reason why a lot of AU fans will pull for Alabama over Georgia.

1980 Georgia's last National Championship.
A championship that isn't in the modern era of BCS or Playoffs.

Auburn actually has a recent Championship in the new era.

If Alabama wins another most Auburn fans will just say so what!

But...

If Georgia wins one then it will crush them for their 2 main rivals to be better than them.

No REAL Auburn fan will ever pull for Alabama at any time , for any reason.
We may intellectually reason that Alabama winning is in our short-term interest, but deep inside, we are saying “Frick Bama!”

If this was a mid season game I'd agree but this is for a title..a title they didn't get to play for. UGA will get Bama's absolutely best shot.
