scout has always sucked.
ESPN caters towards the guys who play in the UA All-American game, and generally just don't have a clue about some guys. so yeah, i'd say you are right.
Yeah... nothing to do with Rivals constantly over-inflating the grades of bama recruits.

no.. isn't scout the one who automatically makes the Top 50 players 5 stars? Great rating system.

There are rumors on Auburn boards that he is leaving alabama and will try to walk on at auburn. Have yall heard anything about this? IMO, he was one who Saban recruited just to keep him away from auburn in the first place. He fits nowhere into alabamas offense, and would be perfect in auburns in the mccalebb role.
I usually do not have inside info but I actually have knowledge about this. It is true that CG is not happy at Alabama and is looking to transfer and wants to go to Auburn. The source of the rumors is Coach McCracken of Opelika (huge Auburn homer). Saban found out CG was unhappy and called Coach McCracken to see if he had talked to CG and if there was anyway to talk him out of transferring. Coach McCracken has been telling anyone who will listen about this.
The addition of Dee Hart is the main reason he is wanting to transfer. CG thought he was coming in to be a return specialist and a smaller RB for change of pace. Dee Hart came in and within 3 months had beaten him out at both positions.
Saban is trying to get him to stay but I have a feeling he is gone.

seriously? we are still referencing Scout in this thread?
It is widely know that he was 190 coming out of high school. Definitely under 200 for sure.
Rivals has Ingram as 195 coming out if that makes you feel any better? Rivals also has Corey Grant at 186 pounds. Any way you want to slice it, Ingram was about 10 pounds or more heavier than Grant coming out of high school. The were not similar backs coming out.

Don't use revisionist history to form an argument. 90% of the Alabama fanbase never expected Ingram to be a physical RB. Everyone thought Ivan Matchett would be the better 'back in that class. Ingram was a "smaller" RB that ran track in high school.

Ingram and Grant were perceived the EXACT same way when they came in. Both were "small and quick" running backs.

All I've seen is a rumor he's looking to transfer

Exactly. Only kid to ever rush for 100 yards in the Army game and they keep him at 4*, while an OT who gets arse raped in the UA game gets 5* ranking.
That makes sense.

To be fair, it isn't as if the Bama classes haven't produced. Also, the didnt overinflate Ingram, Lester, Mosely, etc. those guys have all out played their ranking. Certainly some guys have underplayed their ranking, but that happens everywhere (eltoro freeman & trey blackmon come to mind)

Ultimatley I think he ends up transferring to USA or UNA. Doubt he makes it to Auburn.

This
If he does end up at auburn it'll be on his own dime as there is no way Saban would ever release him to the barn

I actally look at recruiting sites like this now:
247sports
Scout
ESPN
Rivals
Rivals sucks so bad this year it isn't even funny. I would much rather look at ESPN then them. 247 is taking over, no doubt. Seems like everyone was always ranking scout behind rivals last season, until Auburn took over the number 1 spot...

But what about the 247Sports bias towards Alabama?

I haven't said that. What about it? I know, I know.. It's the same writers that used to be from Rivals. DERP DERP DERP, I don't give a damn. The 'Bama Bump was obviously always a joke and I guess you couldn't sense the sarcasmn bahind it. This isn't ITAT, or Tidesports.. We don't wear tinfoil hats over here.
