Ole Miss beat Alabama.
We handled you guys in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd quarters. Dominated. Your fans were clearing out with like 10 minutes left in the 4th. Herbstreit immediately made comment of it, we all remember. Please don't downplay it. Link/Source:

You guys were unprepared and straight up outplayed. Your QB threw one of the worst passes I have ever seen to our Safety, Elston. That's not "beating yourself." That's a bad pass and a defensive player in the right position to make a play.
Lucky tipped pass? What about that lucky onside kick? If you guys didn't get that lucky onside kick, we likely put up another TD. Haha and here is my point: We we're "beating ourselves" by letting you guys recover that onside kick. At that point we had outplayed you guys, and had we allowed you to comeback from behind to win then we would have "beaten ourselves" after controlling 1st/2nd/3rd quarter of play.
You lost the game. 43-37. Ole Miss beat Alabama, and has done so for 2 years in a row. When Alabama had their streak going against us, I didn't leave each game talking about how "we beat ourselves". I knew we were an inferior program, didn't show up to play, and didn't deserve to win the game. I'm happy to say this hasn't been the case the past couple of years.

Why does this matter? That game is meaningless

Haha. It will be interesting, but I'm tired of the crap. We beat them. 2 years in a row. I didn't make excuses when they beat us.
Edit: And I understand I'm not a regular poster, and I'm not active in the off-season, so have at it. I just really think seeing this crap in the headlines is a joke. We did a lot more in that game than catch a lucky, tipped pass.

I blame the loss on Saban if he had of started Coker
UA would have won by 10 UA was 17 points down when Coker came in no doubt Saban lost this game

This is what I am looking for. And I agree. I don't think Coker was game-ready. It looked like there was miscommunication with his receivers about routes because the two INTs I saw were straight to Ole Miss players. Again, my point being that those are heads up plays by our defense to be in position and capitalize. What's to say our defensive schemes weren't causing issues for them?

quote:Probably because y'all didn't go 12-1 in those seasons with that 1 loss due to 5 TOs or illegal passes or helmet deflections and y'all didn't make the playoff or show that you were probably the better team.
I didn't make excuses when they beat us.

This sounds good to me. Good luck in the Sugar Bowl. And thanks for 4th and 25.
