You do realize the sec is going to 9 conference games next year. Alabama still has to play FSU in 2026. If they would play wvu and fsu, it would leave them with only 1 cupcake. They would play 11 p4 teams.

At least we actually win our National Championships, unlike Auburn...the spoiled, petulant children of college football.

Lots of games are going to get cut. Part of it.

UGA plays Clemson and OSU in 2030. LSU plays ASU and SMU in '28. I hope they cut Rice though.

Huh? Have you even watched football the past 20 years?

Alabama has played Clemson, Michigan, USC, Wisconsin, VaTech, West Virginia, Miami, Penn St, and Florida St during that period in the regular season.

And beat them all.

Every single one.

The home and home vs Texas started in 2022 in Austin, with Alabama winning 20-19

West Virginia wasn't in a Power 5 conference until 2012.

That's a relief. I know I was dreading playing them.

It will be difficult for ALABAMA to move on. Every year we here about the Mountaineers prowess as a national power and a force of nature unlike any in recent football history. One only has to think of special coaches like RichRod, Dana Holgorsen, and Neal Brown, who have traditionally dominated the gridiron and sports' talk shows for decades to understand this great tradition.

Somehow a great void needs to be filled and in time BAMA should be able to close that competitive gap. It won't be easy, but I'm already hearing reports that we have Maryland or maybe even a Pittsburgh lined up to appease the Crimson fans who have to be crushed.

Bama schedules legit teams regularly and has a legit P4 opponent already that year. Half the SEC schools do this. The other half schedule like scared little girls.

Playing 2 power conference OOC games in the same season...let us know who else was doing that before the 9 game conference deal. Bama is playing Florida State and Wisconsin this season.

Who else in the SEC has 2 power conference teams on their OOC schedule?

SC has been doing this for forever. They're doing it this year, in fact. Open with VaTech, closing with Clemson. In the last few years they've had NC State, UNC, UCF, ECU. Next upcoming years they have Miami, UNC, etc.

No, the rest of the conference isn't made up of chicken shits.

Not really they got FSU in 26, and Ohio State in 27, with both is more of a challenge. That’s Not to say West Virginia won’t be good but I’m just being honest.

I cannot blame Alabama because WVU with Rich Rod owned the SEC.

They complain about their relatively easy schedule all the time.

He was 2-0 vs Mississippi State. He didn’t own anyone.

Ole Miss was supposed to play USC this year but they bailed on us. So did Wake Forest. WSU would normally qualify as a P4 and have the talent level of a mid-low P4 school.
