Fairly sure 3-1 is correct

Knew it was just a matter of time till you showed up and tried to tell me how I feel on this subject. Tell me how mad I am again. That's all you have. Nothing but ad hominem attacks.

Like me, most folks didn't consider Pearl's suspension by the SEC in 2011.

It's okay that you don't know. Most 'bama fans don't know as they don't care about basketball.

Right. I bet you remember every game from the 2010 basketball season, don't you.
Suspended or not, it was a Pearl team. You can beat your chest about a technicality if you want.
You're a clown.

an Auburn fan saying Alabama fans don't watch basketball is someone painfully lacking self awareness

I watched the game. The only reason i remember watching it in the first place is because I was having some family over. I do not remember who was strolling the sidelines for the opposing team, nor would any other fan under normal circumstances. There are too many basketball games in a year to remember every detail.

Of course I watch games. As many as I can.

C'mon, everyone knows the 10,000 in Coleman are just sidewalkers. The 5,000 going to AU's hoops games lends a more "family" atmosphere.

There may be only 5,000 going to Auburn's hoops games... but those 5,000 love Auburn University.
Those 10,000+ going to Bama basketball games only love Bama footba...
Wait.
Nevermind.

looked at the attendance numbers closer. Alabama has finished outside the Top 40 nationally only twice since 2003. Auburn and LSU (the 2 fanbases that remind us we only care about football the most) haven't finished INSIDE the Top 40 even once during that span.
Edit...Correction: LSU has finished inside the top 40 in attendance once since 2003. (#37 one year)
Boom

I never thought I would see the day that Auburn and Alabama fans would flame each other over anything basketball related. It brings a smile to this basketball fans face.

These Bama fans are worried. Bruce is going to have a stranglehold on Bama basketball starting next year.

Only thing I'm worried about and all Bama fans should be, is the jackass involved in making this crucial hire. This is the same idiot that had to be exposed to extreme pressure both financially and by the fanbase before he realized Grant had to go. I'm deathly afraid he is going to take the easy way out, the coward's way, and pick up the phone and place a call to either Mike Davis or Steve Prohm and give them the job and overpay them in the process. We can and should do much better, but I won't feel comfortable unless I know the hiring decision has been taken out of Battle's hands. The OP is right, this is a hire we cannot screw up or our basketball program takes a backseat both in state and in conference. If I were making the hire, here is the list I would call and in this order:
Gregg Marshall- "No" doesn't cost anything
Shaka Smart
Ben Howland
Archie Miller
Ben Jacobson
Michael White
Bobby Hurley
After I had exhausted this list, then and only then, would I call either Prohm, Davis, or hell, Mike Anderson while we're desperate.
I just wish some news would leak from somewhere indicating where we are trying to go with this search as I don't trust the searcher.

Battle was our 1970s version of Dooley. Wasn't ever truly qualified to lead a big time program and got a job based on riding coattails of an SEC legend. Bill Battle fricked Tennessee football in the 1970s (a UA alum like Battle being given the UT job is strange in the first place, imagine Majors or Fulmer coaching Alabama, just ain't right). Hopefully 40 years later for y'all's sake he doesn't nuke Alabama basketball.
God it's weird your current AD was once the head football coach at Tennessee.

Ironically enough, your current AD graduated from Bama and played basketball here under C.M. Newton.

It still freaks me out that our current AD has a degree from the University of Alabama. Dave Hart will probably never truly earn my trust. It's just bizzare how that happens. When we had Dooley it felt like a sick joke was being conspired against our school by our chancellor(former UF guy), our AD( roll tide dave), and Doofy Dooley ( a pure bred UGA legacy) to sink and destroy our football program. The 3 guys employed by the state of Tennessee that had administrative power over football were all products of our 3 biggest rivals.
