I had a Gene Jelks jersey as a kid. Wore that #22 everywhere until the numbers nearly wore off. Didn't even get mad at him for turning on us. Dude was seriously broke and Auburn was desperate.

Bandwagon fans are not relagated to ine school or another. It is a human emotion to attatch to success. All good to great teams have them. We have many of our own. Do not kid yourself.

I’ll admit that I became a Bama fan after a national championship season, but in my defense, 1993 was the first year I was old enough to follow football.

Having lived in this state all my life...all the auburn fans I grew up with are still auburn fans and all the Bama fans I grew up with are still Bama fans. Hell, my neighbor two doors down still puts up his damn Tennessee flag every Saturday and has for the 10 years I have lived there. I dont know anyone in my life who is a bandwagon fan.

My first memories of Alabama football are the Ray Perkins years. Cheering for them since then.

So STFU.

About the same here. I grew up in Mobile, AL. So, it was either the Dallas Cowboys (maybe), The Falcons (no), The Saints (frick no), Auburn (didn't know who they were at the time) or Alabama. In 1978, it could only be Alabama. I was 9 years old at the time.

Exact same thing here, grew up in Mobile and only remember Alabama and Saints games on television and have been a Bama fan since 1978 in third grade and have the yearbook photos to prove it.

This says more about the people from your state than anything. You know what I didn't see in Alabama when LSU was top dog? An increase of LSU shite on trucks driving around Alabama

Crap. Did you see all the Georgia "fans" we had come out of the woodwork this year?

We all have them. It gets worse when a team is good. In fact, it is one way you can tell if your team is good.

I did down here between Destin & Pensacola. The most represented have traditionally been UF, FSU, Bama, Auburn and Miami. I had no idea until this year there were so many UGA fans. It was like a huge emergence.
