We've went from Alabama winning a football natty every other year or so, to the coach getting a raise/extension for getting blown out in both the SECCG and a 12 team CFP. Basically, just finishing in the top 10 was considered a success.
That's obviously better than a lot of us accomplished, but if that isn't a decline I don't know what is.
